2000 means nothing in Season 4 {WoW}

Jul 7th 2008 6:53PM Ryan,

A minority may fall in to that bracket but from the way people here talk (post) a lot don't seem to.

2000 means nothing in Season 4 {WoW}

Jul 7th 2008 4:33AM Prove he can't compete - oh wait you can't, besides he is currently in top 10%(easily) in the second week and high enough to buy a S3 weapons. You can't carry someone that far in week 2 if they aren't good - trust me I've tried.

If you caught up last season you can catch up again - maybe if you had panned things better you would have saved your points for this season, that way you would be one of the people with a head start, I know I've held off buying things gear at the end of a season so I would have a better chance in the next one.

In any case a head start doesn't mean anything as they won't be able to buy any new gear in 2 months.

Jul 7th 2008 2:56AM Changed what I was saying half way though.

*You won't be at a disadvantage

or

*You will be on equal footing

Jul 7th 2008 2:53AM Twinking at end game has always existed. It just used to involve countless hours in Naxx instead of arena (trust me 2 shotting everyone at 60 used to be hilarious)

I haven't compared PVE to PVP content wise at all - only the way my real life and play style have been affected when swapping from one to the other.

You won't find a Sub Rogue in high end raiding (trust me they will respec). I'm not sure why you even bought this up as you don't have to respec at all. No one is forcing you to do anything I'm slightly confused what you are trying to prove with this ...

If you want to spec shadow as a priest play with a rogue, it is a very successful combo. Here is a shadow priest that can already buy his shoulders:

I've posted a link to Tremmerzz a S1 geared priest at 1800 in S4, but I'll do it again since you are stuck on the gear topic:

Even if you just hit 70 you can gain enough points to get all the gear you need by remaking your 1500 rated 5s teams. Geared players take "leaps and bounds" but run into a wall in 2 months and can only buy off spec gear, meaning by the end of the season you will have caught up.

As for my attitude:
"Arena sucks and we hate it."

Followed by:
"Comments like this one make me wish I could vote up more than once."

Immature and pointless(Yes, I know they weren't made by you). This site is full of people who cry about arena when they don't understand it, it gets old quickly.

Jul 7th 2008 2:43AM Because he will be fighting teams in full S3, meaning there is a gear gap between him and the other team. Which he is able to over come. He also has 2 gladiator toons - so he isn't being carried. I'm sure if he was in full S3 he would be well over 2k by now.

Gear is not the deciding factor. It is a factor but it can be over come. I have already told you how to get a full set of arena gear. So by the end of S4 you won't be on more equal footing.

Jul 7th 2008 12:08AM Just remembered this guy - he hit 70 less then an month ago on this priest basically as an experiment to see how well a "new" 70 would do. Since he is already at 1800 I'm guessing the answer is quite well if the players is "skilled" and willing to put in the time.

Jul 6th 2008 11:51PM waaahh my gear sucks
waaahh my class sucks

That is all you people ever say. Oh and "we don't like arena" Fine - don't do it, in fact don't even bitch about it. As an ex-hardcore raider I hate PVE, but you don't see me posting in every "What to wear in Kara" or "How to spec your tank" artical with how I hate PVE. I respect and understand the people talking about it enjoy PVE even though I don't. In any case it isn't like Blizzard removed PVE content in the last expansion and you are left sitting in a city with nothing to do.

S4 will be long enough for you to get enough points by being on a 1500 5v5 team to buy the WHOLE set(inc weapons). Guess what? - you can do 1 days worth of daily quests and REMAKE your team and stay at 1500 no matter how bad you are. That way by the end of the season gear won't be an issue. "OMG I can't buy the weapons" 10 dps (S2 -> S4 1 handers) isn't as game breaking as any one of you make out. I know this as I can get 1700 on my S2 geared alt righty now!

As for classes go - every class has a viable team make up in at least one of the brackets. "My holy pally sucks in 2v2!" Well go spec ret you'll be fine in 2s and 3s. Same goes for other classes and specs. Find the team that works for you.

Arena is a time investment for the main part which makes it very similar to raiding. The only differece is that I can organise it AROUND my life, unlike raiding where my life revolves around it. If you don't put in time and effort you won't succeed.

People see arena as 10 games a week for pointz and gearz lolz, then wonder why they are stuck at 1500/1600s or worse.

Get over your selves you're acting like spoon fed children.

Jul 6th 2008 8:20PM As a druid I know my helm will be permanently turned off, just the S3 one was :P.

Also if you hit 2050 in one bracket you can just farm the points in another one if you are worried about slipping below the requirements for your weapon.

Personally I didn't think we were going to hit 2050 so quickly so I spent all my points. So far we've only had time for 36 games but we're around 1900 so it can't be far off. Even though we'll likely get higher I'm intending to skip a week and get points in another bracket. Less stress that way ;)
