Apr 16th 2011 11:15AM I tried out the demo and it's good - I can see this being useful for sending out course-related emails to my students that they might actually read...
However the price is very high with no education discount on offer that I can see. I would have thought they could have taken a "razor blades" approach, selling the basic software for a low price and selling additional templates in-app. The template packs tend to have one or two okay ones and a lot of duff ones, so I can't see myself buying any of those just for the one I want.
Apr 5th 2011 2:42PM It's probably worth pointing out that Malaysia is not in China. Unless something major happened I didn't hear about?
The title should read "Paper iPad 2 sells out in Malaysia". The shop is in that country and it is ethnic Chinese he is selling to, as he clearly states in the video...
Apr 5th 2011 2:41PM Makes no less sense than putting flowers on a grave. I mean, what's that all about?
Show some respect for other people's beliefs and traditions.
Mar 30th 2011 5:19PM If she was commenting on the budget she probably sounded like a bit of an angry bird
(Brits will get that joke. Not exactly politically correct, but hey...)
Mar 19th 2011 2:25PM Aww bless. Poor little advertisers.
In the EU I believe cookies of this nature are now outlawed anyway so they'll need a different way to work out who's visiting sites.
There'll still be money in it for site owners who host ads, so don't worry about that. It just means advertisers need to be cleverer about getting the stats - or sites need to do some work at targetting readers, which any site worth its salt should do anyway.
Mar 10th 2011 3:27AM UK notes have Braille, I believe. Haven't got one to hand but I remember this being a big thing when it was introduced - quite some time ago.
Mar 1st 2011 3:14PM 我手机 if my Chinese isn't letting me down (wo shouji, literally "I hand machine" - hand machine = mobile phone)
Feb 27th 2011 1:33PM Agreed - if it was stable enough I'd have installed this as my main OS. Shame I had to reboot back in to Snow Leopard.
Feb 27th 2011 1:32PM I can see Expose being 10x more useful now - I hardly used it but in just about an hour with Lion yesterday I was hardly out of it.
Give it a chance...
Feb 27th 2011 1:30PM As Christo says, you can still click - actually I hadn't realised you could slide ;)
But it makes a lot of sense with a trackpad. Using the Magic Trackpad in Lion, it really was like using a great big iPad, so natural and obvious the way things work.
(Except the upside down scrolling - but I'm sure that's just a brain thing)
