Sep 24th 2010 3:36PM As a tanking warrior I always look forward to your columns. Do you think that the changes made to the way pulls are done will effectively kill the LFD tool? Or do you think that the queue times for people other than tanks and healers will be even longer and the odds for success will drop like a rock?
Also, I have been collecting a fairly nice set of Fury gear during ICC 10 man runs, and was wondering if I should just stay to protection for leveling come Cata.
Nov 6th 2008 9:55PM I'm with Sean, I would guess this is more to test how Turing ready an AI is, than anything else.
Pathing and combat would not be terribly hard to implement, but I doubt that is the reason for the test; my guess is they are trying to see how many people think the player on the end of the toon is human and how many don't.
As far as how Warden reacts to this program running is unclear; I doubt the Army will let Blizzard have access to the source code behind the AI, however, the Army might make a special arrangement with Blizzard as well.
Oct 21st 2008 12:40PM I like the shoutout to Adm Adama and Number Six.
Jul 22nd 2008 4:08PM Can't say I am surprised to see this, currently leveling a third toon from 60-70 is going to take a loooong time at the rate I am going, given other time demands.
I will be interested to see how much of Azeroth and Outlands become ghostlands, given getting a group together for Hellfire quests and Ramparts/Furnace runs is already proving more difficult than I remember.
Mar 21st 2008 2:26PM I am usually amazed when I see warriors dominating the damage charts in BGs, until I Armory them.
S3 Gear? Check. 2H Mace? Check. MS spec? Check.
Oh, never mind.
Mar 21st 2007 12:34PM Blaming almost all wipes on any one class is silly, especially given the variables that go into a wipe on a 5 man PUG. In my personal experience leveling my warrior, a big problem comes more from overzealous pet classes (Hunters mostly) being unable to control the aggro on their pet, offtanks forgetting to keep the healer(s) from being pounded into paste, Mages feeling like it is their God-given right to pull 5 mobs at once in close quarters, among others.
