May 9th 2007 2:40PM Great... more "RAID OR GTFO" gear.
If you dont have a guild behind you, even at 70, if you're luckly enough to get the stupid book from Dire Maul (helped a guy farm for it for DAYS back before BC), a normal non-raiding player is still not going to be able to do Onyxia to get the first blade made, so you can contineu the quest chain.
RAID OR GTFO! /Blizzard Devs

Except the entire part of the point you missed is this:
Casuals can't LIVE at the amusment park. They don't work there, they don't live there, they dont' sleep there.
Maybe once or twice a month they can go play all day at the park, but normal life intervennes most of the time.
Video games in general are built upon the idea of progression. To WIN. Well, to WIN in WoW, you have to dedicate a tremendious amount of time to it, much more than most people have.
I think that is where people get a little pissy. The "raid more noob" arguement is easily countered with "sorry, I have a life outside wow too".
May 3rd 2007 2:35PM I'll repeat, What UBRS shortcut?
The balcony shortcut is a shortcut to UBRS & LBRS. If there is someway to bypass the locked door to UBRS without the key (which i have on one of my toons), what is it?
May 1st 2007 4:10PM Dual box PvPing my two warlocks just got nerf'd.
Blizzard just nerf'd less than 0.01% of the WoW players. lol
May 1st 2007 2:01PM This reminds of of the old level 60 epic tailoring plans for robes.
Tons of mats, not so great when compared to early raid gear.
The nerf just rolls things back to that level.
RAID OR GTFO is Blizzards attitude towards its players.
May 1st 2007 11:43AM When does a priest get psycic scream? (aka fear bomb)
Apr 30th 2007 6:16PM That's sort of my meaning. The Naruu will have some sort of evil counter part in the future.
in Stargate there are the ancients (beings of pure energy, good) and the Ori (beings of pure energy, very bad).
And the whole portal to other worlds thing. The Aldor & Scryer (Jaffa and Tok'ra), etc.. etc.. You could parallel each "boss" group in WoW to a specific Gol'uld "god" "bad guy" and his/her minions, if you wanted too.
And before someone says something stupid like "Warcraft came out before Stargate", check the release dates of the movie and Warcraft2: Beyond the Dark portal and see for yourself... the game follows teh movie in many aspects... :)
Apr 30th 2007 5:59PM @ #15 - Not the Goa'ulds, the ascended ancients - beings of "pure energy"
Apr 30th 2007 5:53PM Seriously, nobody else is seeing the parallels to the Stargate universe (the movie and TV show, not the upcoming MMO that I'm suspecting will suck horribly).
