Dec 13th 2011 6:53PM I would ask my wife to go out and buy a couple days worth of pizza and Mountain Dew cause I'll be staying in the next couple of days.
Dec 13th 2011 6:38PM The first thing I would do is call up my boss and tell them I'm not feeling well and I'll be out for a few days.
Nov 1st 2010 9:38PM I wish these events weren't limited to a single day. :(
If I had those furry ears I wouldn't need to spend anymore time looking at Final Fantasy XIV.
Oct 18th 2010 10:09PM I played Guild Wars when it first came out and stopped playing for some reason.
I was bored, looking for a game to play and with all this talk of Guild Wars HoM (smart business decision on their part) I decided to check it out again. I eventually bought EotN when it was on sale on Steam and ended up buying Nightfall as well. I have to admit I'm enjoying the game. I've been doing some reading on the wikis and discussion boards and there's more to this game than I initially gave it credit.
I haven't finished the Factions campaign yet but I just recently started playing the Nightfall campaign and I'm loving it. They've really done a good job.
So thank you for continuing to cover Guild Wars and posting these articles about the Hall of Monuments. It's really been informative.
My only complaint... I still have a hard time choosing those 8 skills. :)

Mar 20th 2009 3:39AM I was truly interested in Champions Online at first. Admittedly as time went on, I slowly lost interest but the news of Bill Roper joining the team hastened that. Now hearing this and the fact it's another Hellgate: London guy... yeah, I'm going to pass on this game.
I understand the gaming industry is small and the guys from Hellgate: London were going to resurface somewhere. It's inevitable really. It's just that for a lot of people, how the whole Hellgate: London situation was handled was a negative experience and that's going to be difficult for companies like Cryptic to overcome when hiring former Hellgate: London people -- especially with hiring a person like Bill Roper. I recognize that things happen and people deserve second chances, etc but I also have a choice as to where I spend my money. Reality is that opinions and emotions do affect people's interest in products and decisions to buy or not.
In other words, to put it into something that maybe people can understand...
For me, Bill Roper is the gaming industry's equivalent of Uwe Boll. ;)
Mar 14th 2009 7:01AM In a moment of weakness I downloaded and installed the patcher/downloader application. Then I realized that I had to login to download the game at which point I put it off as something to do later.
Now it's later and I'm thinking to myself, "what was I thinking"?
I even went back to check the RSS feeds from here to see what could have possibly made me think of giving WAR another chance. I think it was the post about the recent tradeskill changes which had me checking out the 1.2 release notes. That long list of patch notes and changes probably piqued my interest at the time, hopeful that WAR had really improved. Luckily after a few hours of sleep, a clear head, and reviewing comments I have since deleted WAR's launcher program. I'm not going to spend a couple hours downloading the game and even more time playing the game to come away disappointed again.
Thanks, but no thanks.
