Sep 14th 2009 5:19PM Bought a keychain authenticator when it came out, kept it at home and forgot it once or twice. Switched to the iPhone/Touch authenticator when it came out, forgot my Touch once or twice when I traveled. Now using the phone authenticator on my blackberry and I have it with me all the time.
I have no sympathy for people who get their accounts hacked and don't have an authenticator.
Aug 11th 2009 4:28PM Another pointless, poorly researched (if at all) post at wowinsider?!? Shocking!
May 8th 2009 9:04AM "In theory, this was one of those holidays that had the potential to screw players over with Daily Chores, which required players to complete a daily quest every day for five consecutive days. That would've meant that anyone unable to log on for 24 hours would have to wait until the next year to complete the Achievement. Surprisingly (or unsurprisingly), the Achievement bugged out and players were able to complete it in one day."
The quest didn't bug out...it was hot-fixed per a blue post about the change in requirements. They just didn't update the text of the achievement.
May 7th 2009 9:08AM I've been using an authenticator for about 6 or 8 months now. I bought one after one of our officers had his account hacked and our guild bank got wiped out.
I recently started using the iPhone authenticator software on my Touch which is great because I take that with my to work and I can log into my billing account without having to be a huge nerd with the key chain authenticator. The iPhone app also works well and doesn't come out of sync very often.
I'm really waiting for the US cell phone version and hoping it will work on my blackberry so it will truly work everywhere I go and I won't need a wifi connection if it gets out of sync.
May 5th 2009 1:50PM If you are having to constantly respec for raids with dual-speccing then you're doing something wrong and you certainly aren't doing your guild any favors by being at raids in sub-par gear.
Let's face it, I doubt your guild is letting you roll on every piece of plate healing, tanking AND dps gear so 2 of your gear sets is (severely) lacking. So which combination of fail are you trying to pass off by constantly re-speccing?
Apr 30th 2009 9:02AM I've been using characters for a while now and the author has never charged for it.
As many have mentioned, Blizzard isn't bothering the web-based armory scrapers...just the iphone "apps". I see this being one of 2 problems:
1) This is all just another Blizzard double-standard. The right hand does one thing and the left hand does the exact opposite
2) Their lawyers are stupid because:
a) they don't know the difference between some that is paid for and something that is free
b) they took the lazy and heavy-handed approach and just sent letters to all the app writers without doing the proper research.
Either way the community is only hurt in the end.
Apr 27th 2009 1:51PM We had the same issue in the past. The gf of one of my rl and long-time raiding buddies was a bad player AND a complete and utter obnoxious drama queen.
We had to just bite the bullet and gkick her. We were said to see my friend go, and I still talk to him all the time, but it was just not worth the drama and damage to our guild dynamic to keep her around just to make him happy.
Apr 27th 2009 9:03AM If you're spawn camping you're doing it wrong. You're taking longer to complete the achievements AND you're taking all the fun out of it.
Don't be a lamer and participate as intended, running with super bunny egg fever speed like a child hopped up on 20 lbs of chocolate.
Apr 13th 2009 6:35AM "(sudden thought: why do the caster Legendaries have to be assembled, whereas the melee/ranged Legendaries just drop?)"
Umm...Thunderfury and Hand of Rag...?
