Death Wish downs Astromancer Solarian for world first {WoW}

Apr 25th 2007 1:32AM Grats. Good to see a new name in the world first game. (and horde as well! woot)

Damage wand:

Pally Healing belt:

I know the issue of raid itemization has been addressed many times before, but I thought I'd give some links to kara loot for comparison purposes.

Kara pally belt:

Kara wand:

Overall, pretty similar stats, obvious upgrades, but nothing really significant. I think the loot is below average, but at least the raid itemization is being adjusted in 2.1.

Breakfast topic: Hardest tradeskill {WoW}

Apr 23rd 2007 10:01AM Enchanting, bar none, is the most difficult tradeskill to level. With the lack of low-level enchanting mats on the market these days, I'd say it is nearly impossible to level from 0 to 300 without huuuge AH goldsinks. The reason I say enchanting is most difficult is because there's really no gathering skill to fuel it... (unless you're like me and you're tailor/enchant and craft tailoring items just to disenchant them.) I actully dropped my 'chanting which was stuck at 245 in favor of a far easier and more lucrative tradeskill: Mining. One of the best decisons I've ever made. Income while raid-spec'd holy is quite nice.

LW and Engineering are just gimp professions in TBC, not really a lot going on there... unlike... Tailoring which is basically the God skill for any caster. It's kind of a trade off because tailoring 0 to 350 isn't that difficult, but the materials for the last few levels becomes pretty steep... of course it's worth it for the absolutely amazing BOP epic sets you can craft In fact, my guildmaster (priest) dropped his 375 enchanting and picked up tailoring purely for the Mooncloth set. . Tailoring got a lot of love in TBC.

Breakfast Topic: Why do you keep playing? {WoW}

Apr 20th 2007 11:13AM I play a priest as my main (and only) character. I loved my main too much ever to play any other class above level 12. I figured I just wasn't an "alt" kind of person... but recently I've found myself leveling a BE Hunter nd I absolutely love it. Level 25 and rising fast.

Quite strange, I thought I'd never stop playing my priest... mabye It's a combination of the fact I've already obtained my ideal gear set and the disappointing state of priest healing. I could also be a little burned out from TBC raiding which lends itself to hardcore. The new starting areas for BE rock pretty hard! e

Anyone else found that leveling a BE from 1 to 20 was more fun that leveling any other toon from 60 to 70? That's certainly how I felt...

Breakfast topic: Not tonight, honey, I have a raid {WoW}

Apr 18th 2007 9:29AM All these seem like success stories and I'm frankly a little confused, mabye WoW isn't the relationship destroying monster the media and non-players make it out to be. (At least that's what I hope).

I personally believe that WoW had a small part to play in the ending of my relationship with my girlfriend of 18 months... I met her back when I decided to quit WoW and get a real life... when we started going to seperate schools, I started playing WoW again with some buddies at school... I guess the physical distance and the emotional distance caused by an addiction led to the demise of our once thriving relationship, oh well... I doubt I can quit now... my main toon is in full Kara gear and I've got a new Blood Elf on the way up... :/ Gotta find a girl who can live with it, I guess :).

Sure, my story wasn't really that exetreme, but I've heard of guildies having some serious trouble with the significant other over WoW... So I know I'm not the only one with a negative story to share about WoW and relationships. Anyone else?

New Darkmoon cards stats revealed {WoW}

Apr 16th 2007 12:04PM These cards are insanely good, almost game changing.

These decks are going to be the things to get once 2.1 hits. As a shadowpriest I know I'm after the Crusade Card for the constant +80 spell damage. I can forsee extravagant prices for all the cards.

My best guess about the stacks is that each new stack refreshes the 10second duration... So it'll keep stacking until you crit, then reset down to 1 stack and stack again until you crit... If you stop attacking for 10 seconds, the buff goes away...

Imagine a Mage or Rogue with this trinket and it's a little bit scary. Constant crits FTW.

Forum post of the day: Yyyyeah, I'm gonna need those DPS reports ... {WoW}

Mar 26th 2007 11:15AM Hahah, good stuff and pretty relevent to me and my guildies, we're a raiding guild on Medivh[H] called "Initech."
