Feb 5th 2008 1:50PM Without adding epics, they still could have added some coolness to the lunar festival, something like they did with Brewfest. Like, collect all 50 coins + kill Omen + fire off a hundred fireworks, get a reward comparable to the Brewfest Ram or Brewfest Goggles. I feel those were/are interesting rewards, while they don't change the game balance.
Feb 5th 2008 9:21AM The RNG hated me in Stratholme Live. I wanted to complete the quest line for the Dungeon 2 (T0,5) set when it was still an accomplishment and needed the Paladin shoes from the D1 set. I ran Strathome Live 67 times, joining groups as whatever was needed - tank, healer, DPS. I got exalted with Argent Dawn. The flask recipe dropped a lot. I got two random epics. I made a ton of cash selling orbs. It went so far that I got my full T2 set faster. But I refused to give up...
Feb 2nd 2008 3:53PM Honestly I don't remember it was like 4 AM :-) I know however I finished the quest that night...
Feb 2nd 2008 12:32PM I'm on a server where there are not enough tanks for instances/heroics/raids and it's hard to find a group for such a group quest. i was lucky to follow an alliance druid and a priest (I'm horde) who two manned it, and still complete it.
Feb 2nd 2008 11:40AM I guess it depends on the players, but I like the difficulty of Karazhan. No QQ from me.
Jan 31st 2008 4:03AM Bunkai,
if your enhancement shaman is wearing S1 you are gimping your DPS hard compared to many blue items. The only bonus you do not get with the blue items is the better armor and huge stamina on S1 gear, and I don't see where those are necessary in Karazhan for a DPS class. I was running Kara with 7.5K HP from blues all the time and was fine.
Jan 23rd 2008 8:37AM While this was not directed at you (please excuse English is only ma third language) there are situation where you racial and potions will be on cooldown, your mana empty, the healers busy or dead, and a bandage will prevent a wipe.
Basically, if you have not skilled First Aid you are gimping yourself for those situations.
I play an enhenacement shaman, too, (on the horde side so no dranei racial) and I also almost never have to use bandages. On the other hand, I have saved normal and heroic groups and helped raids succeed by using them. When your mana is low and a Shatter goes bad on Gruul it helps the healers a lot if you can max your health on your own.
Jan 23rd 2008 8:12AM If you are in a "raiding" guild that does not require you to have maxed First Aid, you are not in a seious raiding guild. Enough said.
Jan 18th 2008 8:27AM I HIGHLY discourage almost everybody from questing a lot. Simply because the reputation gained by instances in hellfire Peninsula and Zangarmarsh stops at honored. I would run those again and again (you will get nice loot in the process) and start the quests AFTER reaching honored with Thralmar/Honor Hold and Cenarion expedition respectively. An additional bonus is using up less quests for experience in Outland overall and having many more quests to do for gold. I have epic flying mounts for my characters because of this. On my main (an enh. shaman) I rerolled on a new server with 0 gold, leveled until 64 (!) doing every quest avaiable in Azeroth, then using instances in Outland, and was able to buy my epic mount one week after dinging 70, simply by doing quests for gold.
Jan 16th 2008 5:22AM For a serious raid build, I wonder if any poison talents are necessary. I have an enhancement shaman and combat rogues benefit from Windfury-totem way more than they would from poisons. Generally, one warrior or combat rogue with WF-totem is enough to give the raid higher dmg-output than an Agility-totem for the whole melee-group.
