Dec 9th 2010 1:44PM Guild dungeon/raid achievements require 80% of the group to be in the guild. But is that 80% of the people there, or 80% of the cap for the instance? I'm thinking of running low-level instances (do I need to find FIVE 85 guildies to tear through deadmines?) and old raids (does my 10-man guild need to scrape together 20 people to do SSC/TK/etc.)?

May 28th 2010 11:38AM "There is no way to look up that person's email address from the interface again. The only personal information in the client after that is your friend's name."
I don't know about you, but if you know my real name, you can figure out my email in a heartbeat. This is true, for example, for most academics, many public servants, etc. To a lesser extent, first+last name can get you a tremendous amount of information about most people, especially if you know any other facts about them, e.g. city of residence, career, or that they are friends with a particular person.
The upshot being, for quite a lot of people, exposing your real name to friends of friends exposes quite a lot of information.
May 27th 2010 11:56AM It's probably worth mentioning Divine Intervention as well (if group is wiping, Paladin can suicide to save one person (hopefully a rezzer) from dying, to speed up wipe recovery).
I mention this because I didn't know about the spell until it was cast on me during a wipe. You can't move while DI'd, and I thought WoW had bugged...
May 19th 2010 2:47PM Some weird things, e.g.:
30% of feral druids have glyph of swiftmend. Why do so many ferals have a resto glyph?
Somewhere out there is a feral druid with 30K mana?
May 7th 2010 4:21PM Drakkenfyre: I think (not sure) there are ways of watermarking images that are robust to such changes. And your second argument is just wrong; 200 people is easy, I only need 8 different kinds of typos, and then the presence or absence of each typo yields two to the eightth=256 different messages. You wouldn't have 8 typo locations in each message, just across all the text in the download file.
Lantokk: no idea what the Fox News or the bomb comment mean.
