Arena season 1 set to be purchasable with honor {WoW}

Aug 29th 2007 4:12PM @8 - S1 was not 6 months. A little over 4 months.

Season Start Dates:
Arena Season 1 - Feb 15, 2007
(duration ~17 weeks and 2 days)

Arena Season 2 - June 19th 2007
(guessing duration ~17 weeks and 2 days???)

Arena Season 3 - October 15th (guesstimated)

Now I don't think S3 is very likely to start 10/15 because its supposed to come out with 2.3 and 2.2 is not out yet. It might be a stretch to get 2.3 out by then even if 2.2 came out next week.

Tempest Keep and SSC loots buffed on PTR {WoW}

Aug 28th 2007 10:14AM Blue links about S3:

"Yep. And for those asking, season 3 is likely to start either coinciding with or some time after the zul'aman patch (patch 2.3)."

S3 Likely to be released with Zul'Aman
"Season 3 is likely to start when the Zul'Aman patch (Patch 2.3) is launched, however there is a chance that it might be delayed to some time after the release of that patch.

Additionally it should be interesting for you to know that once season 3 have started, it will be possible for you to buy Season 1 gear using honor points (approximately 15k/piece). "

Tempest Keep and SSC loots buffed on PTR {WoW}

Aug 28th 2007 10:11AM Its already been stated by "blues" that Season 3 will most likely come out with or after Zul'Aman (patch 2.3).

Is real money for game items in our future? {WoW}

Jun 11th 2007 10:41AM Aside from needing a couple more thousand gold for my epic flyer, there's nothing on my server I can or want to buy. When I look on the AH for stuff most everything is less powerful that what I have and I am not "uber geared". I'm sure this will change just as more and more of tier sets in the pre-expansion became BOE, but for now you really seem to only need a large pile of gold for that epic flyer.

The Armory changeth {WoW}

Jun 6th 2007 6:17PM I have FF 2.0.0.4 (Max OSX) and it works fine. Does not seem to work on my Safari 2.0.4

Fun with the Armory: Everyone's a little bit racist {WoW}

Jun 4th 2007 12:21PM @7 -- they are uneven at what they do. They made the guys from the Podcast "The Instance" change their guild name. For some reason they did not like the name "I Eat Babies" - something trolls say in game (or at least used to).

WoW Moviewatch: Nihilum Vs. Teron Gorefiend {WoW}

Jun 2nd 2007 5:46PM I agree. The video was a real snoozer. Congrats to them for downing stuff they did on PTR, but the video needed better direction, better camera work, etc. Only so long I can watch basically the same overhead shot. ZZZZZ

Addon Spotlight: WoW Timer {WoW}

Jun 2nd 2007 5:35PM That seems nice for adults but for kids you need to use the Parental Controls on the WoW web site. There's a link to it in the Account section of the left hand nav. Or if you log in to manage your account you can use this URL:

https://www.worldofwarcraft.com/account/parental-control-schedule.html

Its the only way short of changing my password that I could get my teenage nephew to not play all day long during a visit last summer.

WoW Future-Vision: Express train to the level cap {WoW}

Jun 1st 2007 2:14PM The test realms used to (maybe they still do) have an option to play as a level 60 character that Blizzard made (they had one of each race I think) or you could copy your own to the test realm. I tried a lvl 60 warrior with wrath gear and a lvl 60 rogue (checked out BRD solo style). It was fun for a while but I didn't have an emotional attachment to the characters like I did the one that I had leveled to 60 myself.

However, maybe they should have a server for lvl 70's for people to play around with. Kind of like "arcade mode" on some video games (e.g. Grand Turismo 2). Of course the queue times would be enourmous so maybe have multiple servers for people to play in "70's mode". The character would not be yours and maybe they would reset each week or month so people had less incentive to only play on the "test" server.

Breakfast topic: Thottbot vs. Allakhazam vs. Wowhead {WoW}

Jun 1st 2007 10:55AM I like WOWhead the best. Best interface by far. Not a lot of ads slowing down the page. I wish they had a Mac plugin so I could contribute. I used to use Alla and Thottbot, but stopped when they sold out to IGE's parent company.
