Breakfast Topic: Favorite patch {WoW}

Nov 25th 2007 11:37AM 2.3 has everything I want in a instance, tons of new gear, and almost every class got a buff. (Ummm. Except for my warlock.) Even better, first patch without major UI breakage that I can remember.

Build Shop: Warlock 0/40/21 {WoW}

May 3rd 2007 2:02PM 43/0/18 here

I've considered 0/40/21 as I was a DS/Ruin lock before TBC, and this seems like the most obvious level 70 cousin. I'm sure it delivers superhuge Shadowbolt numbers, which, I'll admit, were fun. (DOMO ADD 5500 SB PEWPEW ZOMG!)

But I switched back to affliction for leveling to 70, and don't plan on ever looking back. With nothing beyond heroic/epic tailoring gear on, I pwn (and I mean pwn) the damage meter in every group I'm in, even with T4/5 folks on my server.

My SB's don't hit as hard, but with UA/Corruption ticking for 600, I don't care as much. And if a SB crit lands, or you give me a shdow priest, the ticks get up to 800-850 sometimes. Wow.

Check the profile if you want, Mons of Kargath.

AddOn Spotlight: SpamSentry {WoW}

May 2nd 2007 6:25PM I have been a UI mod freak for a long time, and can unequivocally say: Best. Mod. Evar.

Or at least, best mod since the one that took away that annoying non-stop LFG click just prior to the expansion release.

Ah, the memories.

PTR changes for May 1 {WoW}

May 1st 2007 7:29PM @3: Put more simply:

A. Spec Felguard (41-pt Demonology talent)
B. Summon Felguard
C. Re-spec Shadowfury (41-pt Destruction talent)

Have you hugged your mod writer today? {WoW}

May 1st 2007 7:09PM @8: Define race for me then, smart guy. Is it a skin color? Call it Anti-France-ism if you want. I'll just go on calling it what it is: ignorance.

PTR Notes: Angry tailors vs. Blizzard {WoW}

May 1st 2007 5:55PM @29: I think it's ridiculous to generalize all tailors as QQ'ing about this issue, and all priests as being sane, sober, and intellectual about their continual nerfing.

What I see when I go to nearly any of the Blizz forums is the same as it's always been since I've started playing MMORPG's: 90% immature brats threatening to cancel their accounts over trivial nerfs, and 10% people who take time to explain their complaints intelligently and calmly. It's the same on the priest forums and the 'lock forums and the profession forums and the general forums and and and.

I have no idea whether Blizzard responds to any type of complaint more readily...I assume it matters on which GM or CM reads your complaint and who their boss is more than anything.

2.1 PTR changes to PvP gems, Mongoose {WoW}

May 1st 2007 2:17PM @11: Yes...but even using one o' them fancy DPS calculators, it's still a net nerf. Affliction warlocks especially (most of whom went tailoring in TBC for the sole reason of getting this set) don't rely on crit much at all, since our DoT's don't crit.

2.1 PTR changes to PvP gems, Mongoose {WoW}

May 1st 2007 1:58PM There is a lot of QQing, because most of us FSW-wearing 'locks don't care for +int. If they made even some of it +sta, I for one wouldn't mind this. As it stands though, it's an obvious nerf for affliction locks, even if a small one.

Plus, my e-peen will shrivel when my unbuffed +shadow damage drops below am I supposed to deal with that?
