Jun 23rd 2009 5:10PM In reply to my own post, I should be fair. You weren't saying they weren't needed and actually suggesting they were *nearly* required. For Mimiron, we roll with a disp priest, holy priest and resto druid (me) in 10-man with a prot warrior tank. I'm not sure what we'd do for the 3 plasma blasts in phase 1 if we didn't have their mitigating abilities. It's not IMPOSSIBLE to heal through it but you're probably going to lose a dps'er to napalm shells if all 3 healers have to spam on the tank. It sure feels like shaman and druids are at a disadvantage when it comes to plasma blasts.
Jun 23rd 2009 5:01PM Maybe not Pain Suppression or PW:Shield? Mimiron would like to have a word with you ;)
Dec 12th 2008 2:32PM Chain heal is not Healing wave. It fits much better into the deficits and overheals much less.
I've got 1850 +healing on my shaman and with the health pools and group damage being significant in WOTLK encounters, I'm not overhealing anymore than I used to in BC. I had a group with health pools going from 36k on our druid tank to 17k on our rogue. As well, I have 500 mp5 while casting buffed... the size of my heals is much more critical than mana with the way the itemization is at the high end.
Dec 11th 2008 5:46PM Happy B-day! Surprise! Totem of the Bay is at the very least on par with Totem of Forest Growth and arguably better. Save your 15 badges and go do 20 minutes of Venture Bay for it. It's at least worth holding off for other better pieces. Totem of Forest Growth is not a must.
Aug 18th 2008 1:03PM pffft. Dump that crap macro, go to fizzwidgets and get the feed-o-matic.
Jul 15th 2008 12:28PM before someone flames me... honor hold quest. my bad.
Jul 15th 2008 12:26PM How the hell is it fun to watch? They down the dragon in 15 seconds and then ooh-n-awww as one 70 with epics loots the letter for the lvl 60 thrallmar quest. One guy is yelling "link the loot" while sporting the triptych shield of the ancients from Chest. ??? I guess this makes for a wipe-free broadcast. I can't wait to see the Blackfathom Deeps run!
Jul 15th 2008 11:12AM wtf? These guys run Ramparts as 70s and they're gushing over hellreaver? What a great concept. That was really entertaining.
Apr 25th 2008 5:52PM @65 Yeah, and gratz on the self-righteous attitude (the most elitist of QQ'ing, fyi).
Personally, I'm upset only because there are other classes who are worse off. I deleted my 70 shaman and rerolled druid out of frustration. That's right... deleted. 1900 +healing and 160 mp5. I rerolled the class I wanted my shaman to be, which is a druid. Why do shaman not get the love? It's because it's the least played class and the least obvious class in the game. Blizzard doesn't know what the hell it's supposed to be. Currently, IMO, it's only viable pve healer. Post 2.3, it's no longer viable in pvp even as a resto, and the dps specs have way too big of a threat issue to be remotely fun. When I was healing heroics, I absolutely hated having a dps shaman in the group. You have to throttle your dps a ridiculous amount.
With all that spewing out, my main point is that hunters are not the ones who need the buffing. Throw that utility to another class. They've got mortal strike, traps-n-snares, dispels, and a pet. I'm telling you... they're getting plate when WOTLK comes out.
Apr 25th 2008 5:37PM Are you kidding? All casters deal with that. Nothing worse than being a shaman against a demonology lock with the felhunter having every nature spell resisted. With the plethora of snares, traps, and shots, you were really bent out of shape because of the 1.5 second cast being resisted?
