Jul 30th 2009 2:12PM Here are some things I will add that makes these joust go by super fast. No matter what you should always be spamming "Thrust"...no matter what. It is on a separate cooldown then all the rest of your abilities, thus you can get a charge and right when you reach them, hit them with a thrust. Spam thrust with any other ability constantly, almost as if the two abilities are one. Even when you are first talking to them, you should be ready to hit thrust right away for that first hit before charging them.
Next step is to spam buttons 1 and 3 in melee range. As soon as he moves away from you, backup, and you will charge and probably thrust again as well. Now once you pass them on the charge, do a semi circle, this time spamming buttons 1 and 2 until you throw out your shield breaker (you need to get the range just right for this, but taking a charge or shield breaker from them is no big deal as long as you hit them with your shield breaker). Once you hit them with shield breaker, move back into melee range and spam buttons 1 and 4 until your shields are full and move back to spamming 1 and 3 again rinse and repeat. This should keep them below full shields almost the entire time.
You can do the valiants this way without ever healing, and possibly the champions too. Though I prefer to heal after those just in case.
Jun 10th 2009 7:22PM If you got a serious swimming speed (equivalent to normal mount speed maybe) and breathing buff, or it was just permanent whenever you went to the maelstrom (sort of like how flying is exclusive to the expansions), I think underwater fights would be really cool and add a whole other dynamic. The only problem to me is the speed for melee (which would be fixed with the buff) and the way the camera works, but I could see blizzard making special changes to the camera in the expansion. Then the underwater mounts would actually make sense. If they are all epic, then normal mount speed could come from the buff.
Personally I think it would be awesome if we had areas that were a little of both, underwater areas and caverns. Maybe have some spells for every class that only work underwater. Yay for shammy AoE electrocution!
May 6th 2009 10:06AM I think making sure you get some honor points has a lot to do with whether you go off and attack other areas of the map or stay huddled up around the fortress. Why not make this BG give honor to everyone equally no matter where on the map they are. The honor can be reduced for this map in order to prevent honor farming, but then I might be more inclined to take out a tower or defend one throughout the entire match.
May 5th 2009 7:02PM I would agree to giving Rogues something to provide raid utility, but not to also provide them PvP utility as well, even if it's only every 5 minutes. Something along the lines of Unleashed Rage that adds haste instead of AP to the entire raid within 30 or 40 yards would be better IMO. That way the raid could be buffed still without overpowering the rogue in PvP. I die over and over to rogues as a shammy in PvP.
I like Quidamtyra idea for slice and dice. Using an existing power to proc a new raid power.
Apr 30th 2009 2:19AM If I could have any chance in arenas as an Enh Shammy, I might say yaay for arena's. As it is, We have very little chance. And no I don't want to play resto thank you very much. And no I don't want to play a pally or rogue either. They should just go and make arena's a totally separate thing from PvE so we could get some semblance of balance without ruining PvE in the process. I like to PvP but I don't like dying at every encounter.
Apr 28th 2009 1:46PM Does the manager still work from within the bank or was that just a dream I had. I remember reading you could leave your stuff in the bank and it would manage your equipment from there.
Mar 25th 2009 6:53PM Majority of the time I use English to Latin translators as a start, for example, My Dranei Shammy comes from the word Horns (Cornu) to make Cornubia. I can't remember what I derived my hunter Surculus from but I believe it had something to do with beast and arrow in latin. My priestess name Illimani came from an old Peruvian language meaning golden eagle, and I derived my warrior from that Illigmar.
I think old civilizations provide some great names. Same as the usual Greek gods don't be afraid to look at Mayan, Incan, and Aztec gods and people, as well as others like American Indian and stuff like that.
