Oct 11th 2007 11:47PM I've found it difficult to feel any progression once I hit 70. Sure, a few quests were soloable or with a 2nd person. But most of the game is geared towards forced grouping and end-raiding. You try to find a group to do many of the quests or 5-man dungeons and you wait for hours.
As to better quest rewards in TBC - I've not found that to be the case. I've gotten better drops. Yes, there are a few items with a better stat, but one has to give up way too much to make it a viable alternative.
They tell you that anyone can get great gear - PvP for it, run instances for it or raid for it. Whoop-de-do. I hate PvP and it's difficult to get into the instances or one is not sufficiently geared for the big raids so can't go there either.
Been a lack of new games and I'm awaiting something else that might perhaps give new experiences. Pity Gods & Heroes got canned to please the Star Trek fans.
Oct 8th 2007 11:31PM It's still pretty much the same boring old quests if you're leveling alts. Still will have problem getting groups and no one will still want to do the instances because they'll get better gear in Outlands.
Just another way for Blizz to try to stem the tide of unhappiness and defecting players.
Oct 8th 2007 11:24PM Pardon my stupidity, but why would one be forced to PvP on a PvE realm to enter an instance? If that's going to be the case, it will be just one more place that I will avoid.
And another instance of Blizz bowing to the PvPers and their wants.
Oct 5th 2007 7:06PM I did my first Brewfest stuff today. IMHO - stupid, stupid, stupid. And I thought the Valentine's Day event was dumb. Just another way for Blizz to have us waste time. You don't even get anything good really.
Oct 4th 2007 12:08PM Not exploiting, but not treating all equally.
I so love taking my rogue around and finding nothing for her as quest rewards. Tons of druid stuff though. Many quests have no rewards decent for any of my toons, no matter what their class.
Randomly changing and increasing the difficulty of quest mobs. 70 elites that we can down easily, yet then get toasted by a 68 elite - hmmm, not quite right.
Constant "miss", "resists" and all that when I fight a mob a few levels lower than me yet I could never resist or regularly dodge when I was lower level.
And love being charmed or minioned by a mob that's 10 levels lower than me. Yet I could never mc a mob that many levels higher than me.
Oct 2nd 2007 7:11PM Nice visuals but can't say the style of music appealed to me.
Sep 29th 2007 10:54AM Must be nice to be able to play a video game and get college credit for it.
Is there a class that you can take for an English requirement that will focus on L33T speak?
Sep 28th 2007 1:43PM I didn't find the article funny.
As to people saying where to "safely" level on a PvP server. Isn't that the point of rolling on a PvP server, to PvP. If you want to level and avoid PvP then roll on a PvE server, problem solved.
Sep 28th 2007 1:34PM Wah! QQ. Puhleeese, people will complain about the dumbest things.
My shoulders are too small, my spectral tiger looks stoopid, etc., etc., etc.
If they don't like it then roll a different race, get rid of the tiger and ride a different mount.
Better yet, go to EQ2 or some other game.
Sep 20th 2007 2:46PM Absolutely stunning.
And it doesn't have to mean anything. It can just be enjoyed and appreciated for the beauty it is.
