Patch 3.2 PTR: Tauren Druid conversation may reveal lore and expansion secrets {WoW}

Jun 28th 2009 9:19PM To me, that conversation looks a lot more like they are hinting at druids being instrumental in destroying Arthas, not hinting at the next expansion. The focus of their unrest is both to go help the frontlines in Northrend.

The Art of War(craft): Battleground Achievements part I {WoW}

Aug 20th 2008 2:58PM Get a strong, organized pre-made and yes it's possible to simply zerg Drek/Vann with all the towers up.

Rare mobs in classic, BC, and Wrath {WoW}

(There's another that still contains lvl 40 items, but WoWInsider restricts URLs to 3.)

I may be misremembering, but I seem to recall that they made the Outland rares elites to be "walking treasure chests" in the beta, then decided to add (bugged) treasure chests after all. It was only later, with 2.2, that they fixed the chests to contain level-appropriate items.

The Oculus revealed {WoW}

Jul 1st 2008 9:18AM You might have liked it, but Blizzard responded to the feedback they got about BRD: that it was way too big, people don't have fun when a 5-man takes 3 hours to clear, when they have to go back 10 times to finish their quests, that it wasn't winged like Scarlet Monastery, etc.. That's why there's no BRD-equivalent in Outlands.

Breakfast Topic: What mounts should we get for Brewfest? {WoW}

Jun 26th 2008 8:42AM "Rams aren't really very interesting either, but they are at least a novelty Horde-side."

You addressed the exact reason Alliance are disappointed they can't have kodos. Of course they're not very interesting, they're just something unique for the opposite faction, which is why this decision doesn't make any sense. I don't want another brewfest ram, I can already get rams! Besides that, they'd only feel "slow" to Draenei. They'd probably seem ridiculously fast to a Gnome (ever seen a Gnome ride an elekk? the feet move so fast it's silly).

Poll: How many 70s do you have? {WoW}

Jun 25th 2008 3:17PM I have 9, and yes it's one of every class. I had 8 60s, one of every Alliance class when TBC came out. And I will have 10 80s after Wrath comes out. :)

I really don't find leveling is much work; it's more the time, effort, and money needed to invest in those max level characters if you want to do anything other than, say, dailies on them! (Some of my characters' gear still kind of sucks, but some of them are wearing T5/6.)

The Care and Feeding of Warriors: Gearing for Kara, Prot Warriors part 1 {WoW}

May 30th 2008 3:51PM Well, I don't know what Matthew will suggest when he gets there, but the Flesh Beast's Metal Greaves from finishing Mana Tombs are pretty solid for a while - 680 armor, 25 stam, 18 def rating, 28 dodge rating.

Breakfast Topic: Consumables: Buy, gather, or make? {WoW}

Feb 19th 2008 9:44AM I raid 4 times a week on my main, occassionally twice a week on one of my alts, and have an upcoming once-a-week raid on another alt. I can't afford to be spending that much money on consumables when I have a perfectly good 375 herb/alchemist with elixir mastery. ;) I also have 375 fishing on my main.

Breakfast Topic: Where's WoW? {WoW}

Dec 21st 2007 8:29AM I've been impressed by UO's and EQ's staying power, so props to those games. My own personal list would be something like...

1. WoW
2. EQ
3. SWG (back in the day)
4. Asheron's Call
5. LotRO

Priests' Shadowfiend gets a nice boost in 2.3 {WoW}

Nov 18th 2007 12:47PM @1 My question exactly. What kind of priest wasn't using their shadowfiend before?! Even before 2.3 it did more than return its base cost of mana, making it an efficient regen for longer fights. It was naturally popular with anyone who went to fight Curator of course, but even in 5-mans there were situations it was beneficial (it's even nice if your group is moving quickly and you don't want to drink and know there won't be any mana-intense situations coming up).
