Learn 2 play, hunters are fine
How is it the top 3's team in the world runs a hunter yet you (most of you) whine that hunters suck in arena. Please note, hunters don't suck, you suck. The class is easy to play PVE, takes a lot more skill in PVP so go get some skill.
Aug 7th 2008 11:35AM My first take was that we didn't have to be concerned with all clothies rolling for same gear because.... more of it will now drop. With cloth healing drops eliminated, Blizzard would replace them with more cloth spell damage drops.
However, looking at the loot tables from Utgarde Keep compared to Hellfire Ramparts (the 2 starting dungeons), each with 4 bosses, UK has 9 boss drops and HFP has 21. ?????
Yeah we should be concerned.
Apr 25th 2008 12:06PM The majority of people supporting this change don't appear to understand how the arena system works. The supporters say that if everyone with a 1400 rating got "serious", they could lift their rating and get rewards.
Not true, every time someone moves up, someone moves down. That's a ladder.
Casual raiders can get "serious" and raid hard core and kill Illidan. Nobody has to fail at Illidan before you can kill him.
See the point there?
The time penalty was enough of a penalty. And what are the 2000 rated players scared of? The 1400's will get the same gear as them and kick their asses?
The change is completely inconsistent with where Blizzard went with the tournament realm.
Personally, I preferred pre TBC where weapons came from PVE mostly. I like the concept of kill dragons and become powerful. Now the weapons from PVE can't compete with PVP weapons given resilience.
WOW is slowly becoming two different games.

Get 3 dailies in Shat, fly to Nagrand, use goggles, hearth to area 52, get attack plans, fly to BEM and do mana cells. Fly to Ogrila base do the 4 dailies there, hearth to Shatt.
I can knock these 7 dailies off in a little over an hour. That's enough and you earn decent rep from 3 factions.

There is no limit to the number of people able to complete an instance. Take the time, learn the encounter, run over and over again, get gear.
In arena, if you go up, someone goes down. There is finite positions at each rating.

Blizzard is making a sh@# load of cash and if you check the F/S, they are pulling a lot of it out.
They have the opportunity to use this cash to create more content than any rival could ever make. But they are not setting the world on fire.
2.4 will mark the first new 5 man dungeon since TBC launch? Come on, 5 man content is what everyone does.
They have money to do swords and figures and they still got a lot more left to create more content. Don't drop the ball Blizz, it's the only way you get trumped.

Blizzard creates money sinks to create the time sink. Their business model is to keep you grinding towards "something" so that you don't ever feel you have nothing to do in game.
You guys talk like 50 -60 hours for epic flying mount is nothing. As a lawyer, I bill at $250/hour. Your epic mount would cost me $12,500 if I decided to grind it. Of course I'm just gonna buy the gold for about $250.
And "cheating"? How does my epic flying mount take away from your enjoyment? The word cheating cannot even be used in a game that no one can win.
Blizzard has the option to spend its profits developing new content to see instead of the grinding model. My bet is they will bank it.

The big news is that with 10 million subscribers, a monthly income of $150 million, we have had NO new 5 man content since BC release. A majority of subscribers would use this and it should be simple to produce.
Jan 16th 2008 4:29PM Great article, are you a trial lawyer? No jury can argue the pictures and the logic. As a horde player, we always have the "option" of a reinforcement win but in my BG, we play a zerg free for all.
Sure, every once in a while two groups decide to choke off IB and we flame them and a turtle results that we always win. It has sort of been obvious from the start that if you do that, Alliance won't play anymore.
When we were losing (never 80%, more like 60%), we still got awesome honor so I still queued. Now, Alliance get nothing if we scorch earth so while some may find it fun, it's not conducive to short queues.
What we really need is a mirrored map, how simple is that to figure out.
Jan 8th 2008 5:58PM The AFK's are a result of the Alliance having no chance to win so people AFK for a mark. So fix the cause of the problem.
Simple simple concept: make the frikkin map symmetrical!
The problem is IBGY is equivalent to SPGY on the map. IBGY has a choke point, SPGY does not. If Alliance guard SPGY, we get a turtle and Horde win attrition contest because Balinda is a pussy and they can cap a tower because of location.
If Blizzard won't change, Horde need to STOP DEFENDING IBGY. We don't defend the equivalent because of the result. Now Horde has seen the result of defending IBGY, ALLIANCE WON'T QUEUE UP!!!
So adapt or enjoy your 3 hour queues.
