Aug 10th 2009 4:56PM I never speculated. I thought my post was pretty clear actually. ^^
May 7th 2009 4:26AM MMO-Champion isn't an official fansite, I don't think Blizzard ever contacted us to have content removed from the front page. We mailed them shortly after posting the alpha notes to ask if it was ok, and I eventually took them down because they didn't like the idea but they never mailed me first. :p
On the Martin Fury scandal, I don't really like to post that kind of drama because it's not informative. Also, I don't want to turn a small error from a Gamemaster into a huge drama who will eventually get him fired just because it was widely advertised on fansites.
I didn't report the german player who got Val'anyr from a GM either. ^^
May 5th 2009 4:54PM Technically the job forced me to have a life, I'm running my own company now. ^^
But yeah it might sound a little awful from the outside.
Nov 3rd 2008 8:50PM Patch 3.0.3 will be deployed tomorrow.
Jul 19th 2008 10:03PM These videos aren't from private servers.
Private servers don't have creatures spawned or stuff like that, these videos were made on the alpha server, build 8471.
Sep 7th 2007 12:28PM There isn't any optical trick, each screenshot was taken on a character from the PTR and another character from the live version (and I created them with the exact same face, hair, skin, etc)
If you really want to be sure you can check http://www.mmo-champion.com/images/news/2007/september/ne_shield_trick.jpg
I added 2 small pink lines, the two first lines are the exact same size, so are the two at the bottom.
There is only 2 or 3 pixels of difference at most, because it's not a zoomed picture but a totally different one and I couldn't get the same angle. (also, the light effects are different on each shield because of the angle)
If you just want to be a 100% sure, you can always check in game. ^^
May 16th 2007 5:27PM They don't own the sites because they probably didn't think about registering them before someone else got them.
Actually, if you want a fun exemple, diablo3.fr and diablo4.fr are registered by Blizzard and redirect to the countdown page.
Apr 27th 2007 1:26PM Nop, they're not, these are the GM/Fake version ^^ The real version stats aren't known yet
Apr 27th 2007 12:54PM The Twin Blades of Azzinoth you linked aren't even proved to be GM items. The real blades will be a 2 piece sets and have been introduced in the 2.1.0 patch (set ID 699 , check thottbot or wowhead)
Items ID of the two blades of this set are 32837 and 32838, which is different than the one you linked.
