Jul 13th 2010 2:50PM I'm glad The Guild is back but where the hell are the new episodes of The Legend of Neil?! I need my fix!
Feb 22nd 2010 11:14PM I'm 4/5 T10 and still have just under 300 haste and my steady shot is 1.5 CD. So no you're wrong there is still plenty of haste out there to choose from. Haste is a worthless stat, no hunter should even worry about soft capping it. Even for an SV hunter ArP would be a more useful stat that haste. Herkuml sucks and DMC:G is hands down a better trinket for ICC. I love how Frostheim says it has 100% uptime yet doesn't realize how that is totally wrong since you need to keep firing in order to actually stack a whole 20 times. So no it's not 100% uptime - not at all.
Feb 22nd 2010 4:39PM Ok but as previously stated, I'm not MM - I'm SV. I'm sticking with DMC:G. And since I'm already at the haste soft cap, haste ~is~ practically worthless for me.
Feb 22nd 2010 2:47PM Thanks Navigator, yea this is what I was trying to figure out and your explained it all very well. I also spoke to a couple of hunters in some high end guilds on my server and they also stressed how movement-intensive the fights are later on in ICC. I think I'm going to stick with Greatness, sorry Frosty
Feb 22nd 2010 2:13PM Right but I'm already at 1.5 speed on my steady shot so all haste does now is slightly increase my white damage. Is that correct? Also, how did you get 189 agility as an average for Greatness? Very curious about that.
Feb 22nd 2010 1:18PM I'm just trying to understand how Herkuml War Token is better for an SV hunter than Greatness if:
A) haste is practically worthless and you're getting a constant 90 agility from Greatness.
B) when Herkuml does proc you're getting a measly 340AP (tops) compared to 300 agility from Greatness. I know the uptime on Herkuml is 100% but AP is hardly an important stat compared to agility for SV hunters. I also realize Greatness has an ICD of 45 sec but if you're doing ICC trash for example, I can afford to deal with that ICD since there is constant stoppage anyway going from mob to mob. It's possible that Herkuml might be slightly more effective on a boss fight but it really seems marginal to me.
This is just my take on it and I I'd love it if someone could explain this to me. Maybe I'm missing something...
