Feb 3rd 2010 2:29PM Except that STO is not competing with WoW-At-Launch, it's competing with WoW-Now. I'm tired of the excuse that "WoW was this bad at launch". Developers of MMOs have now had years to learn from the experience of WoW and other MMO launches.
Dec 2nd 2008 3:07PM And people think the torture quests are bad, lol. One tip I have that helps me is that I hit 'V' to bring up mob nameplates. Helps me spot the pups easier.
Nov 21st 2008 2:17PM I have a question. I have not yet been to Dalaran. Would you say that its surface area (say, in square yards) is equal to the surface area of the hole that is now in Alterac Mountains? Put another way, would the new Dalaran fit under the magical protective dome that used to hide it from view while it was being rebuilt?
Nov 18th 2008 10:49AM I totally agree. The quest design is often simply amazing. Sure, there's still the Kill 10 Foozles, but there are many that are almost like mini-adventures all their own. There was one that sent you on a ghost ship and you become part of the crew basically for the duration of its route as it travels around. You even work a cannon to kill a giant on the shore and get his booty. Really cool, I thought.
Jul 16th 2008 10:44AM They add a clock to the mini-map, but not coordinates. That would have seemed the more logical thing to leverage from commonly available add-on functionality.
Jun 26th 2008 1:14PM Very interesting. However, I'd think that the only way you'd have an issue with the "flow of time" and a densely packed mass is when you're talking about black holes or neutron stars. I hardly think a small, dense planet qualifies. Also, how do we know that Azeroth isn't mainly an ocean planet, with three smallish continent/islands? That would be sad, no doubt, but possible. Or other continents not yet revealed (read: future expansions).
Dec 18th 2007 5:51PM I like the idea of Hero classes being further extensions of "basic" classes, rather than separate classes. However, in a sense, we already have this with talent trees, to a degree. At a minimum, I'd love a title system whereby your class name changes to something more specific, depending on how you've chosen to spec and how deeply into a particular tree. The Armory already does this by saying, for example, that you're an "Affliction-specced Warlock". There should be something that looks like a class-name.
Nov 30th 2007 4:28PM LOL, he probably does. He should put double-quotes around the name, because that's essentially what Dalaran will become in the new expansion.
Nov 30th 2007 4:25PM Wow, those criteria are even less damning than the ones mentioned earlier for bot-farming. I happen to have many BoE epics, and though I have earned a Netherdrake, I prefer to fly around on the regular epic flyer. However, I have never spent any real $$ for gold - I earned it all myself.

Because the bonus from Imp CoA just isn't that amazing. It's 2 talent points for a small DPS increase to a single spell that you don't really even use in Raid/Arena situations all that much anyway.
