Two Bosses Enter: Moorabi vs. Trollgore {WoW}

Jun 25th 2009 5:42PM I have to be honest. I find these "Two Bosses Enter" stories to be the most uninteresting posts on the site. It's annoying seeing them show up in my RSS feed as well as the pointless followup stories saying which boss "won." They're completely meaningless, and I don't get the appeal. If there's no real WoW news, I'd rather just not have any posts so that my RSS watcher doesn't light up with a new article that turns out to be pointless.

Just offering my opinion, flame away.

From our readers: Is my Ulduar-clearing guild holding me back? {WoW}

May 17th 2009 5:43PM @Manic Soul

I barely play anymore. The game jumped the shark when WotLK came out. I just log in and do dailies while the majority of the population levels blood elf paladins, rogues, and priests.

From our readers: Is my Ulduar-clearing guild holding me back? {WoW}

May 17th 2009 4:14PM Just what the game needs. Yet another blood elf rogue. Is it any surprise he's into Final Fantasy?

Scattered Shots: Pets for raiding {WoW}

Apr 30th 2009 11:55PM I have a better way of putting it--you supernerds are obsessed with turning the game into an Excel spreadsheet, where miniscule differences in DPS are matters of life and death.

It's a videogame.

The iPhone is a platform for coding newbies {TUAW.com}

Apr 30th 2009 4:45PM "Objective C is a great language... in 1989."

It's a great language today, just like C. I bet you've never even touched Xcode.

"There's a reason why so many applications on iTunes crash regularly and suffer from performance issues. Objective C is a difficult language to deal with. With no garbage collection, you're just begging newbies to create monstrous memory leaks, which account for most of the unexplained application shutdowns that occur regularly with the iPhone."

Cocoa uses reference counting, which is a form of automatic memory management that is not difficult as you claim. Any performance issues you believe exist have nothing to do with Objective-C. Basically, you made your post up.

"Heck, Webkit shuts down unceremoniously due to lack of memory and that was written by people who really should know better."

WebKit isn't even written in Objective-C. God, you're uninformed.

"And new programmers are expected to be able to juggle system resources?"

Yeah, it's part of knowing how to program a computer.

WoW Insider Show Episode 55: The PvE to PvP transfer {WoW}

Sep 16th 2008 5:03PM "We talked about PvE to PvP transfers and why they might be a problem, but probably won't be."

They killed Mal'Ganis. 30-minute queues and 3000ms latency during prime time hours, every single night since PvE transfers were accepted. I can't even play the game I'm paying a monthly fee for, so I'm canceling and going to Warhammer.

Blizzard tosses Priest racials out the window {WoW}

Sep 16th 2008 2:17AM Days after I started a troll priest to have fun with Shadowguard + Blackout. Well, so much for that.

March of the Warlocks {WoW}

Feb 26th 2008 6:10PM Nope, you're not reading it right.

March of the Warlocks {WoW}

Feb 26th 2008 6:09PM There wasn't any organized protest. This is the first I've heard of warlocks kiting demons for any reason. WoW Insider doesn't link to any posts about it, either.

Yes, mages are still the whiniest class (OMG I'M NOT A VENDING MACHINE), though shamans are working hard to take the crown.
