Sep 10th 2008 8:22PM There is a link to the forum post. Did you think the link named 'source' at the bottom of the post was just there for show?
Aug 22nd 2008 4:37PM It's nothing to do with the size of the countries, but the laws in each individual country. There was a blue post about it in the forums. So if your country doesn't have recruit-a-friend, it's due to your country's laws.
Jun 13th 2008 2:25PM Mightn't this be a negative thing? I mean, the reason that the multiplatform titles sell less *might* be because people are buying them on other systems, meaning that exclusive titles will naturally sell more.
I don't know. I just don't understand how this can be construed as something that is good. Now if it were a more indepth study that found out whether not these people bought the multiplatform title on another platform or not, it'd be much more reliable.
As an example I own a PS3 and 360. All my PS3 titles are exclusives, where as my 360 has both exclusives and multiplatform titles (my friends don't own a PS3, so I buy the 360 titles so I can join games with them). This doesn't mean I think PS3 exclusives are better than the multiplatform games (like the article implies), it just means I chose to play the multiplatform games on a different system.
May 24th 2008 6:02AM Because comedy is subjective? What one person finds hillarious, another won't even crack a smile at.
I'm not sure if you're arrogant or just plain ignorant, but PA is around because many people still find it funny, regardless of whether or not you personally find it "painful".
May 16th 2008 2:32PM Ah, just noticed the sentence at the bottom. Oh well. Got a little ahead of myself...
May 16th 2008 2:30PM Is that the offical box art for Killzone 2? Because that is awesome.
May 15th 2008 12:51PM Why do we need online achievements anyway? It's extremely rare that they're well implemented, and you'll still get people asking others in the game to give free headshots or whatever to get achievement X.
CoD4 was an awesome game, and that has 0 online achievements. I say just concentrate on doing offline achievements, online ones aren't needed and usually hamper the experience.
Apr 24th 2008 1:13PM So this isn't the DLC with the new dungeon? :(
Oh well, the dreams are extremely well written, so I'll buy it just to see the new one.
Apr 14th 2008 6:16PM They say no game will ever get an 11 as an 11 is perfect, it is (in their words) "The Unicorn". Regardless of its purpose, it still means that a score of 10 isn't perfect, just that the game is excellent, top quality material, a "must buy". In many respects people may see this as "perfect" still, since some people consider 10 as a close to perfect as you can possibly get in any other magazine (in the same way that the recurring decimal 0.999 is, in fact, equal to 1).
However, the criteria for an 11 is the same as what 10 would be, if 10 were the highest, so *officially* 10 isn't a perfect score in OXM.
Apr 14th 2008 5:27PM It's not a perfect score. OXM do a score out of 11, and their score chart says "11 - Perfect." A 10 is "One of those rare and very best of games. Every Xbox gamer simply must buy it and play it, whether or not they’re a fan of the genre.".
So it isn't perfect, but it is bloody brilliant.
