Rumor: Kinect 2 to read lips, make french fries, soak up nasty spills {Joystiq}

Nov 28th 2011 12:53PM @Ryguy226 We can only hope. I mean, we can all picture a scenario where humanity is saved at the last second when MS Skynet blue screens just when it's about to launch the nuclear holocaust.

Zarhym weighs in on Theramore rumors in Mists of Pandaria {WoW}

Oct 25th 2011 2:17AM But really, the loss of Theramore will mean all of the alliance's gains in the barrens will have to collapse-- there is just no other port to supply the armies. Realistic, if blizzard has any consistency at all, this also means a complete retreat from the barrens, if not utter distruction of the forces there.

BlizzCon 2011: Screenshots of the new Pandaria talents for all classes {WoW}

Oct 21st 2011 8:49PM After pretty much just falling out of love with this game in Cata, after being an avid player from early BC (pre-2.1), I'm thinking these changes, and what looks to be a decent amount of new content, I might just come back. Looks like there will be enough newness to clear out Cata's stench.

Norwegian shops pull Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, and other games after tragedy {Joystiq}

Aug 4th 2011 2:52PM @(Unverified) Acting like an American? You aren't much of a student of history. Europe needs no roll models for violent, homicidal, or genocidal individuals or groups or governments, it has a long history of violent conquest, religious persecution, and bloody mayhem. The US hardly invented such things.

The Light and How to Swing It: Holy paladin changes in beta build 12984 {WoW}

Sep 20th 2010 11:48AM I've been healing since I leveled my first toon to 70 3 years ago. I've tried just about every healing class in the meantime, and though I've played most every class now, I always come back to healing at some point. But, the more I read of these changes they are making to healing, it makes me think that they are emphasizing the things that I like like least as a healer to be the basis of the new healing model.

I'll try it, but I don't know that I'll continue as a healer in this expansion.

Is faction antagonism story-driven or player-driven? {WoW}

Sep 18th 2010 4:26PM I play both sides....people are pretty much the same on either side, but there seems to be more "casual" players on alliance, and more dedicated pvp players-- at least on the servers I've been on. But, yeah, the rivalry is almost entirely player driven, and at times seems irrational-- people hating horde and refusing to play any horde characters, and vice versa. I kinda of think it's silly, because you are cutting yourself out of a lot of content that you paid for if you don't try both sides, but to each his own.

Shifting Perspectives: Healers, selfishness and trouble ahead, part 2 {WoW}

Aug 31st 2010 5:26PM To be fair, they've said that the goal is to make all healers basically mana starved, so as to require you to dole out your heals both tactically and strategically. Now to me, fighting the mana bar is my least favorite part of being a healer. Ultimately, I think it'll make for fewer people wanting to heal as a main spec, so we'll have more "you have to heal or we can't raid" moments.

Paul Allen's company sues Apple, Google {}

Aug 27th 2010 4:14PM His company isn't doing anything different than what Apple pulls with their lawsuits. It's all a bunch of BS.

No fair: Gizmodo editor leaves his phone in a restaurant, gets it back right away {}

Aug 22nd 2010 6:18PM Not to mention that it's not irony either. But I guess the word is so misused now, that even professional writers can't be bothered to use it correctly.
