Aug 28th 2011 12:12PM You sir, are an ass.

I quit farming strat after four years and having finally come to the understanding that I'd never get that mount. I have no luck for mounts. Max level archaeology and I can't even get the mount from that either ... As a Druid I was one of the first on my server to get the key to be able to summon the raven mount ... Yep. Lost every roll when I saw it all three times ... I've given up on mount drops.

Drama Mamas: Namecalling {WoW}

Aug 22nd 2011 11:35AM As a bear tank I typically take the time to break the ice at the start of a pug by introducing myself and asking if there's any specific goal that they wish to be met beyond completing the run and getting valor points. By the end of the run I'm usually being called "Fuzzy" or "Papa Bear".

Take the time to open a conversation at the start of a run and most people will actively talk back to you making it a better experience overall. Course there's always the random tool, but I find they are few between if we talk with each other at the start of the run.

Breakfast Topic: Why did you start playing WoW? {WoW}

Jul 2nd 2011 10:35AM My wife bought it for me back in vanilla a year before BC dropped. She usually hated me playing video games at the time so I asked after about three months logged why she doesn't get mad about this one. Her response was this:

"When I hear your game music coming from the computer room I know three things: A) Your not hogging my livingroom TV. B) Your not off spending our money on stupid computer upgrades every two days. And C) your not watching Porn."

"Fair enough." I said, being unable to form a properly insulted response due to the truth of the statements.

The Queue: There are 113 days until BlizzCon {WoW}

Jun 30th 2011 12:22PM We have experienced this mostly in forelands raid. We've dubbed it the toe boss.

See a few years back we had a disc priest who was just absolutely top notch and he ninja DC'd on us in the middle of serpent shrine. He logged in two days later explaining that he had tripped over his headset cable, causing him to smack his big toe and breaking it on the desk which in turn caused him to fall and smash his head on the back of his chair effectively knocking him out and that he'd been in the hospital for the duration for a concussion.

So the random 100k+ damage from walking over rocks in firelands can only be explained by the stubbing of toes.

Breakfast Topic: Getting to know your neighbors {WoW}

Jun 24th 2011 8:58AM I had a nice little discovery the other say in that the two kids that run around stormwind with the brother having stolen his sister's doll, the sister got her brother back and stole his stuffed gorilla. Having two kids of my own this made me giggle and brightened my day some.

Breakfast Topic: How do you make your characters? {WoW}

Jun 22nd 2011 8:54AM I go for strange and usually obscure references that have something to do with the race or class. My DK is named ShadoutMapes (the Fremen house keeper in Dune) and my shaman is named Anhkmorpork (Discworld's main city). While my little female worgen priest is named BegginStrips (not so hidden in the reference).
