Overview of Cartographer Routes {WoW}

Jan 17th 2008 6:20PM I don't really think it's cheating - it makes efficient use of your time. You could just as easily get a piece of paper, draw a map of Outlands on it, mark every node that you find when you're randomly flying over a zone, work out the distance between them, and then run a shortest-path algorithm over them..

..or get a computer to do it.

Note that it doesn't make nodes actually SPAWN for you, so on a busy server it's likely that you could fly a whole route and not find a single spawn.

Peace in the valley {WoW}

May 24th 2007 11:33PM Skettis is bad because when you kill someone they have to run back to their corpse. Also part of the quest chain involves farming six Dust items which are handed in for a one-use 15min potion which allows you to see other mobs in the area. If someone ganks you while you have the potion, you lose it and have to farm more dust - which is time-consuming in a heavily farmed area. A lot of rogues on my server are waiting for someone to pop the potion (you can tell because they glow a different colour) and then ganking them straight away.

Two online tools for jewelcrafting {WoW}

May 2nd 2007 8:36PM This is the best mod I have found for jewelcrafting: .

It is an -ingame- addon which shows what you can cut based on filters of: gem name, colour, stats or materials.

It also allows you to see what gems you can craft based on what materials are currently in your bags.

And finally, it replaces the tradeskill window for Jewelcrafting so you can cut gems directly from GemHelper instead of having to open your JC menu too!

Written by my guild's GM. It's an awesome mod which also includes French and German localisation.
