Leaked Intel roadmap details Sandy Bridge CPUs, expands SSD lineup? {Engadget}

Aug 15th 2010 3:47AM @kenny goo you're looking at it completely wrong. SSD's are not about $/gb, it's about putting your OS on a SSD big enough to run everything, and then putting everything else on your cheap, 5cent/gb drisk drive.

My laptop running a 2.0ghz dual core with a 80gb x-25m runs just as fast as my desktop running a 2.8ghz quad-core. buy all the cheap geebee's you want, it will never make your computer run as fast as mine.

Google Voice Actions for mobile announced: write messages, find music, and more {Engadget}

Aug 12th 2010 5:08PM wait, how is this different than the voice search i've had on my Evo since day 1?

Apple's rechargeable AA batteries are rebranded Sanyo Eneloops? {Engadget}

Aug 12th 2010 11:07AM @Wolfticket apparently the difference between eneloops and other similar NiMHs is the high quality control. Check out the reviews on amazon and other places for eneloops vs other NiMHs- there's a stark difference.

Aug 12th 2010 11:05AM @caribousteaks Check out the eneloop reviews on amazon and such, but i'm pretty sure they say that they handle camera flashes perfectly.

"those games weren't developed for a touchscreen mobile and that's the reason they all such on android, jailbroken iphones."

so they only count as games on the android if they're touchscreen games? that's an arbitrary way make it sound like android doesn't have any good games

"Voice navigation:- there are countless apps for that and much better than the free gooogle gps app."

That's your opinion. In my opinion, the google navigation (which is free, by the way, not $50 like some iphone nav apps) is flawless

"ya a huge development community that makes nothin but wallpapers disguised as new apps."

straw man. great arguing tool. if you talk to anyone with an droid phone, you'll find that there is an app for everything they need. the market is robust. we've even got tethering apps, and don't have to disguise them as other apps.

"let android come out with semi-decent keyboards,"

Sense ui keyboard is awesome, so is swype (which steve won't let you have, sorry), and the android keyboard is perfectly adequate if you don't want to go with one of the hundreds of options we have out there. keyboard options on the iphone? none. next?

"a more accurate touchscreen"

I've NEVER once had a problem with the touchscreen on my Evo, I don't even know what you're talking about. next?

"and a snappier UI then we will talk!"

what's your definition of snappy? do you mean fast, or intuitive? Sense ui is both. ADW launcher is both. Launcher pro is both. there are a dozen other options.

You obviously know very little about android. It's ok to admit it, i won't tell anyone.

EVO 4G's Froyo firmware was available for download, manual install (update) {Engadget}

Jul 30th 2010 7:40PM @kandekilla wait, why can't we just go to the xda thread straight away?

Validas study finds Verizon smartphones consuming more data than iPhones {Engadget}

Jul 30th 2010 11:53AM @hell hound yeah, i can't think of any games worth playing- oh, except the entire nintendo, super nintendo, gameboy, genesis catalogues, all the games being remade for android from iphone since developers are realizing that android is the future. did i mention i can use my wiimote as a controller?

also, i can use my android phone as a phone. wireless tethering, voice navigation, speech to text that puts the iphone's to shame, the ability to buy apps outside the store, wireless sync with my computer, a huge development community that is making our phones better every day...shall i go on?

EVO 4G's Android 2.2 update starts trickling out tomorrow, loads of new features and fixes in store? (update: official for August 3rd!) {Engadget}

Jul 29th 2010 4:32PM @mahadaalvi you realize that android has had flashlight apps in the android market since before steve jobs was born, right?
