Oct 20th 2010 6:59PM Carmen, you are a tremendously enlightened woman and I or any other man would be honored to be in a relationship with you. I salute you. You are what I've always been looking for. I just wish more were like you.
I hope that Russell Crowe thing works out someday :)
Oct 20th 2010 2:40PM I randomly found this story (male here) and think it's pretty interesting. For one, you did the right thing by breaking up with him, of course. Cheating is just ridiculous, and so very weak. However, what the other woman said about age caught my eye. In my experience and that of my friends, women who are in their early 20's are a bad bet, relationship wise. Very few pairings actually go the distance - an attractive woman simply gets bored and then ends it, and the guy is left out in the cold. This might have been a factor in his deciding to cheat - if he thinks it's just something you're doing for fun, then there's no reason to be monogamous.
Also, when you comment on how easily you rid yourself of the emotional burden of the relationship "taking a ride by the sea" it seems clear that you weren't all that emotionally invested either, so that seems to lend credence to the above theory. I'm not saying he was right to cheat, obviously, since it's a pathetically weak thing to do, but you can see the thought process that led him in that direction.
Feb 1st 2009 4:17PM They're real, lol. The stuff that people are calling fake on is just pre-alpha concept tests that will probably be removed or reverted.
Feb 1st 2009 4:59AM Reading over these patch notes, I believe them to be completely credible and almost certainly very real. Some of the changes may not make it to the live patch, but everything here is in line with Blizzard's behavior, and it's far too detailed to be a fabrication.
Oct 15th 2008 12:28AM Maybe some kind of squad system where the Spartan is only one member of a squad that you have available, and you rotate him in and out of duty depending on what role you want to fulfill in your battalion? Everyone can create and fill out a Spartan, but not everyone would want to play the role that the Spartan would fill, depending on what skillset they're interested in playing themselves. If you make the alternate roles interesting enough, they'd be more attractive.
Sep 30th 2008 5:11AM Heaven forfend EVE should create a PVE server shard... only to have the players wake up to the fact that there is essentially zero playable content in the game.
EVE replaces meaningful content with mindless conflict. Strangely enough, there are many who are comfortable with this - they're welcome to it.
Jul 31st 2008 2:08AM No, wrath beta news is not drawing me back in. Wrath being released to the open market might though :)
Jun 17th 2008 11:49PM "Still, the Darkmoon Faire events are fun, ...if you like losing."
fixed that for ya.
Jun 14th 2008 6:12PM I think, most emphatically "No" they should not be seperate. The only issue is that you can't allow people the same level of freedom in an MMOG as you do in a virtual world, where they should be allowed to do anything they like.
So you have to be able to change the world permissions upon entry to the MMO, eliminating all scripting, returning illegal items, etc. But ideally, it should all take place in one immense interconnected sandbox.
Jun 9th 2008 4:02AM Holy shit, that "Clear Skies" video was the most awesome thing I've ever seen. If EVE was half as cool and interesting as that video, I'd actually play it!
I hope he makes more. I'll be waiting... and watching when he does.
