Feb 22nd 2010 8:17AM I have an FoL pally who was brought along on a 10-man ICC, when it first came out, in gear that is probably half 25man Ulduar and half 25man ToC. I was with a druid healer, and we had no problems going through the first hall. That and I used to do ToGC with no problems, either. All I did was grab the pvp trinket for FoL to up my FoL strength, go for Glyph of Seal of Light and Beacon the tank. I never had an issue going back and forth between spamming shocks and FoL and switching to HL when I needed it. Was always near the top of HPS, especially during ToGC, where I would routinely hit between 5 and 6k HPS. What's the normal HPS of a HL spammer?
Feb 15th 2010 12:41AM I'm assuming Kia used to work at Cinnabon with Azriel and all the other neo-goth vampire-esque failed drama people. Can't wait for this "phase" in the horrible cycle of what we call "modern culture" to go the way of global warming....forever lost to people who can be shammed by anyone who owns a crayon and a piece of paper.
And for the record. Edward blows.
Dec 12th 2009 11:35PM The WoW forums are infested with trolls trying to bend the ear of the devs that frequently post there. Most good players learn to deal with what's given to them and learn to overcome the supposed "deficiencies" that all the QQ'ers whine about. The Devs do a fine job with "balancing" the game I think, in a way, the game had to be "balanced" because of the major min/max'ing that goes on. I'm sure Blizzard wanted DK's to be and feel heroic, but the problem with that was that too many people flocked to them and it upset class balance for raiding and pvp. There will always be a mentality of "one class is best", at differing times. It's all perception and that can't be helped by the devs. That's a player perception problem and when you're trying to get into a 10/25 man raid, you are at the discretion of the raid leader or council of leaders who have come up with the "ideal" group that they want to run with. I think a lot of the whining is more intentioned to be directed at the raid leaders/server population who have bad perceptions and since they are on everyone's ignore list on their server, they saunter over to the WoW forums to try and bend the ear of anyone who can hear.
Sep 3rd 2009 12:20PM Amazing video...great opening sequence. Love that they don't overdo the fights and yet keep the boss emotes in the foreground of the audio. That and it makes you want to watch the other 2 videos to see what her dreams are about.
Aug 21st 2009 7:24PM OMG!!! So exclusive to hear that Richard Knaak or Christie Golden is going to write exactly what Blizzard told us at Blizzcon, just from a character point of view.
Obvious failure is obvious.
Aug 17th 2009 11:43PM Psst....Windows 7 will be out in 2 months. Just FYI.
And oh yeah...Vista sucks...that's why they are allowing for better sound cards to be used with Windows 7.
Aug 15th 2009 12:41PM Correct. At some point you have to stop living in history and create history. That's where other games go wrong, in trying to stay within the scope of a small period of time, rather than allowing a set of historical events to run their course into what would be considered "the present time".
Aug 14th 2009 9:30AM I don't care about the lore aspect. I care about a "freshness" aspect. Someone in the Blue Tracker said that the game is becoming too easy and Blizz's only counter to that was that Yogg+0 is still there and I don't see everyone flying around in Mimiron heads. Well..that's because there's a new raid instance, moron, and there is gear that is better than that, already. I mean seriously...developers just don't have any common sense, now. I'm just saying that I think the devs have seriously missed the boat on how to proceed with this game. You can tell that WOTLK, up until 3.2 was developed by a different set of folks than who created the current system. The Argent Tournament was a cute idea, but didn't need its own raid instance. 3.1, with that hybrid of Ulduar and Argent Tournament, to me...is the defining moment of WoW's future. It's a departure from one set of devs, in my opinion, to a new set. And the new set just thinks they can throw anything at us and we'll go..."OOH!! SHINY!!!". Which, unfortunately, alot more people are not.
