It's called Aspect of the Viper. You might want to read up on it (along with Evocate, Mana Gems and Spirit) before you manage to get anything leveled up to a point where you can have an opinion on core class mechanics.
As for the change, for the sake of PvE, here's to hoping that another sledgehammer PvP nerf won't come to pass. If Blizzard's truely going to insist on the whlole 'WoW as an e-sport' thing, they really need to hurry up and make seperate PvP and PvE rulesets. As it is now, the whole game is suffering.
Aug 23rd 2007 4:08PM Once again PvP whining threatens to nerf a vital PvE mechanic. The best way to fix this is simply make the diminishing returns on player characters in PvP high enough that it won't have any more effect than polymorph, traps or the other forms of CC. PvE should not be affected.
May 22nd 2007 2:30PM Good job on the interview, I can't believe that Garnett actully thinks that SCII will go to consoles. If it does, I'm sure it won't be for a long time after its release on the PC. As for a lack of innovation, what's to innovate when you got it so close to perfect the first time around (I'm including the expansion in this statement). Personally, even if all they did was put out SC1 with shiny graphics I'd be happy. But new units, new abilities and the continuation of a great storyline? All that makes me one happy panda.

There's really nothing more annoying arrogant DPS'ers (fyi I play a Hunter but have good irl friend that plays a holy priest). In my experience (talking 5 man groups here, raids are a different animal), what usually wipes the group are the DPS'ers generating too much threat, pulling off the tank, getting killed and generally causing problems.
In his early posts it seems that Brainwashed thinks he’s somehow special to the group and due to his “leet” dps skills, is above running back to an instance. I think he needs to understand that in the grand scheme of 5 man's the only 2 people that are really important are the tank and the healer. DPS is largely expendable and easily found/replaced.
I also disagree with his assessment of group jobs. His job as a mage is not just to DPS. It's to CC appropriately, dispense food/water/buffs, and to kill things without pulling from the tank.
The tanks job is to keep mobs from running towards, and subsequently killing, anything squishier than him.
The Healers job is to heal the tank (not the DPS) in the majority of situations, exceptions do exist but most of the time this is their primary responsibility. It is only their job to rez the group if no one has to leave the instance, i.e. some form of wipe prevention. If everyone dies and there's no back up rez for the healer, everyone runs back, simple as that.
