Aug 30th 2007 3:54PM I think that some people are assuming that all players play this game equally well, therefore the math involved (spec choice) is the greatest separator of success/failure in a raid situation.
Thats not what I've noticed.
Yes, spec can limit your available dps/cc/success. But in reality its not the defining feature of whether or not a player is any good at playing this game.
And playing with bad players causes at least -my- game experience to suffer.
Let me put it this way, I'd rather play with someone in an off spec that are good players than with someone that has a mathematical advantage in spec but don't understand aggro.

It really is that easy, its about cast sequence and knowing when to reset when the pull is bad. You also need to setup your keybindings in a way that allows you to get off spells fast. I've never seen someone do it through click casting. The hardest part is the coldsnap/frost nova combo for a resist (at least for me). After the 10th time the whole setup becomes muscle memory and your grinding speed increases exponentially. After lvl 28, its cake. The key as usual is location, location, location. As for your mana problems: mana gems, an occasional pot if you get in trouble (although you should probably just reset), most of the time you shouldnt need it.

Your comments caused a brain storm.
Assign placement via flame strike type graphic
You could "throw" totems to areas they are needed (range of 30 yards?).
See a feared person running, throw Tremor Totem near them.
Your a caster trying to stay at caster range but want to put down some melee totems, throw them near the boss.
I'm sure there are some interesting things you could do with this.
Jun 7th 2007 2:37PM armory is slow. You can speed it up in firefox if your on dsl or better connection. Try this:
- Type: "about:config" in the address bar & hit enter
- Type: "pipe" in the filter
- Double click "network.http.pipelining" so that Value = true
- Navigate back to the armory
Should be a bit faster.
May 16th 2007 1:54PM @35 In case someone doesnt beat me to it, next patch you will not see the hunter's health go to 0 when they FD. Good for everyone.
May 16th 2007 12:49PM Great Post. I'm still amazed when I get into a PUG and do basic hunter tactics how people message me with questions (at higher levels). I'm not sure what to think. I mean, I feel good about playing my class well, but I also wonder what the commenter's experience was with other hunters. I guess being one of the most played class means having the widest spread of ability (good and bad).
May 15th 2007 1:08PM I've been running WoW using wine since TBC release. No real issues. Have found that ATI cards will lock the computer up after character choice (driver issue which if not already fixed, will be soon). Nvidia cards run like a dream. I dont have to pay for a Microsoft license ever again and thats a good thing.
