Dec 22nd 2010 8:30AM I wants it!
Feb 12th 2010 9:08AM I'm with Slyght. I really don't see how you can get "Cataclysm pushed back to winter" from such a vague comment. Like Slyght said, this isn't really anything new. We've always expected a little something more between now and 4.0 - even if Cata is released in say June that's four months between it and the Lich King and SIX months between it and 3.3. Unless they really are way behind schedule and are gearing up for another BIG content patch, which is in no way evident from Zarhym's posts, there's no way Cata will be released later than the summer.
Jan 7th 2010 2:30PM No way. Even if there were another big, nothing-to-do-with-Cataclysm patch on the way, it would be out in March or so, as each big Wrath patch has come out about four months apart, which would STILL leave 8 months until November. However huge the lead-up to Cataclysm is (and I expect it to be huge, bigger than the Scourge Invasion), 8 months is too long. And of course, there is probably NOT going to be another big raid patch ala Sunwell, as that was a mistake they don't want to repeat. I wouldn't say there's going to be nothing between now and patch 4.0, but 11 months from now? No way.
I'd be surprised if Cataclysm were out any later than May.
Oct 2nd 2009 3:34PM Personally, I'm all in favor of Garrosh as leader of the Horde. Do I think he's a good leader, or that the Alliance deserve to die? Of course not. Garrosh is a war-mongering idiot, war is bad (I've watched enough Gundam to know THAT), and a basic campfire probably WOULD make a better leader. But Garrosh as Warchief is INTERESTING. I don't have to live in Azeroth, it's just a game, and so conflict is FUN. Garrosh will help shake things up.
Frankly, I expect WoW to go into "get worse before it gets better" mode until patch 4.3 or so. Between Icecrown (which I expect to go less than smoothly), the events leading up to the Cataclysm, the Cataclysm itself, and (this is where Garrosh comes in) increased tensions between the Horde and Alliance, Azeroth will not be a fun place to live for the next year or so. And that's GOOD.
Garrosh - bad for the Horde, good for the game.
Oct 1st 2009 8:22AM I made a comment for to be winning headphones.
Aug 25th 2009 2:35PM Oh man, I just realized that if Garrosh does become the new orc leader (I don't doubt it per se, I'm just not positive it's official) then Fandral Staghelm might lose his lofty title of Most Hated Faction Leader! Will the Horde see its members helping the Alliance kill one of their leaders for a change? Maybe Staghelm will do something really bad to try to hold onto his title?
On another note, it'll be interesting to see what happens to Hillsbrad. If Southshore is destroyed, will the zone become Horde-alligned or will they do something else, like maybe turning the town of HIllsbrad into a real town instead of just a Horde questing area? The extent of the Cataclysm actually makes it hard to speculate on this kind of thing - any zone might see towns appear and disappear and the mobs and their levels completely change, so it's really hard to say. They pretty much have to keep the starting zones as, you know, starting zones and work around that, but anything else is up in the air.
Aug 23rd 2009 2:19PM Seems like "Cataclysm will come out in 2010" is kinda stating the obvious. For it to NOT be true it would have to come out in the next 4 months, which is way too soon, or in more than 16 months, which would be long even compared to the previous two expansions. Even holiday season 2010 would be damn long - what, are they going to have almost a YEAR between 3.3 and Cataclysm? Don't all signs indicate that they're much further along with Cataclysm than they were when they announced BC and Wrath? Haven't they said they don't want to go much longer than a year between expansions?
Jun 6th 2009 10:53AM I like to name all my characters after other characters from books, video games, etc - but obscure enough ones to avoid the whole "Xlegolasx" thing. So I have Orlandeau, Laforet, Kiryl, Salmakia, Agahnim, etc.
Apr 1st 2009 9:40AM Your wife read an Inheritance book WHILE SHE WAS SICK and survived? That's pretty tough! I'm a hale, healthy young man and Eldest nearly put me in a coma.
