Breakfast Topic: Are you leveling your Professions? {WoW}

Nov 20th 2008 9:29AM Yeah, im a DK. Once I left the starting area I decided to get to know my Tauren heritage by picking flowers. I also picked up a pickaxe.

Its been a painful few grind sessions but im finally closing in on 300/300 herb + mining. Cant wait to get back to playing, im hoping the hellfire wont be so busy now, and due to the stupidly inflated prices at the moment im well on my way to epic flyers.

I forced myself to do it early because I hate relying on my other chars for gold, and figured I may as well level them up as im questing in Outlands.

Hybrid Theory: Shaman and the Wrath Alpha {WoW}

Jun 15th 2008 6:18AM Too many amazing points, I hope with all of my heart that those suggested changes make it live.

1 set for all.... chaching!
More resto goodness.... chaching!

The best bit though.... I r can finally has layz0rz and healbot sets without having to run the likes of kara > I have to.

Every drop of information that leaks out about Wrath just whets my appetite even more. Good article.

15 Minutes of Fame: Player settles in for Wrath with his friends {WoW}

Jun 10th 2008 5:53PM I am doing the same as the guy in the interview, 10 mans are the future.

For me personally its about seeing all the content and having a laugh doing it, loot comes second. My group are just relieved to be able to do it all on our own for once, without having to manage the expectations of 30 other people. We have already begun preparing.

For me personally, 10 man raids are win!

Breakfast Topic: What's the big deal with the Alpha? {WoW}

Jun 5th 2008 4:47PM Ok I admit I am speaking from a personal point of view when I say I dont mind healing to gear up. I was mearly trying to open your eyes to ways around your particular problem, it works for me, and clearly others, but if you dont want to heal thats fine and who am I to argue!

I will conceed that it is desireable to have CC/DPS hybrids in Heroics. We are DPS/Heal hybrids. Unfortunately our chosen roles dont go hand in hand the way CC and DPS does. Thats just a fact of our class, and doesnt make us broken. In the future it would be great if Blizz gave us some sort of CC talent, I'd be all for it, but at the moment we fill our roles equally if not better than the rest of the classes. So in light of the comments before, I fail to see how we are broken.

And as for your post Roflolmao, thanks for the invitation to go PVP, but I'll pass. I personally prefer PVE. You say you dont care about healing, which is pretty much half the class, so its no wonder you think your playing a broken class.

I can understand that, one on one, we generally get may-owned, but to be honest our whole class is geared towards team play, YES that is for PVP and PVE. We would be seriously OP if we could bring ad-hoc powerful buffs AND beat every class one on one. The only thing I can see us missing from a PVP stance is some sort of stun or short CC. Again, that isnt what our class is made for but is deffinetly a 'nice to have'.

Jun 5th 2008 12:26PM Jeeze stop crying about Shamans, were fine as we are.

I love our class, I mainly group/raid as resto, but all the other time I am Ele. Occasionally I get invited to PUGs and raids as Ele too, which is a bonus. I have collected the majority of my Ele gear when I have been specced resto.

The class isnt *broken*, far from it, when I want to I can top the DPS meters, and I dont even have a full set of ele gear. Seriously if you want to play a Shaman, learn to be verstatile, the red mist soon disapears.

Yes, CC would be nice, it is the only thing that is preventing most Shamans from pidgeon holeing them selves into performing one roll (lazering or SS'ing). But seriously, you have to options.... go QQ'ing about it, spit your dummy out and stomp your feet, hell, leave for AoC if you feel that strongly. OR you could just respecc, enjoy another aspect of the class, and gear up that way.

As a final note, I can sympathise that you may just want to spam SS through all the content. But the class is by NO means broken, seriously.

Tales of WoW {WoW}

Jan 9th 2008 6:13PM Strangely enough I have one - a while ago me and 2 IRL friends rolled whored chars, and one of my IRL friends got one of his old CS mates to join our crusade. So we all hit end game, do what ever we did (raid, pvp, roll alts etc) and then all quit. Come BC we all begin playing again, although our old CS friend is no longer with us. We hit 70, joined a raiding guild, and got increasingly frustrated with our server, so the main officers of our guild decide to reroll alliance on a new server. We were leveling up, adding guildies, until one day one of our new recruits goes.... 'by the way 'Tony' (obviously not his real in game name but you know), where are you from? only I used to play with a guy with the same name!'. Low and behold, it turns out our old CS mate quit the game, finished Uni, and then started playing again with BC. Somehow he managed to roll the same faction on the same server at the same time as us! I still cant believe it to this day, maybe Azeroth isnt so big after all!

Forum Post of the Day: The discipline tree remix {WoW}

Nov 3rd 2007 5:44AM They should turn the discipline tree into a monk-esque tree. It could be a middle route between decent healing, decent damage (maybe even melee damage, unarmed combat lalcakes), and decent damage mitigation. I've always thought priests needed a middle route, like mages have the arcane tree for crit central builds. A nice little tallent would be for priests to be able to wear leather or something.
