May 16th 2007 10:10AM Weird. I had no idea "toon" was related to "cartoon." I thought it was derived from "platoon," which made sense as it relates to guilds and parties and whatnot.
Now that I know, I kinda like "toon" even more than before. I like it specifically because it's a little bit silly and trivial. "Character" is a somebody's inherent personal quality. "Avatar" is an incarnation of a divine being. Both of those words are kinda stiff and serious. Calling the little animated guy on my screen a "toon" appeals to me because it keeps it in perspective. It's just a game, just pictures on a screen. Not real.
I kinda like that.
May 15th 2007 7:30PM Of course it was Adama. Duh.
What? Oh. Akama. Right, whatever. That guy.
May 15th 2007 11:59AM There's a little Dwarven farm on the far eastern coast of Arathi, seemingly inaccessible by land. I found it when I made an ill-advised attempt as a low-level toon to swim around the coast and north to Revantusk, since I wasn't yet able to survive the Hinterlands beasts.
I have no idea why it's there.
Also, this was on a post-2.0 but non-Burning-Crusade copy of the game, so maybe things are different with the expansion installed.
The Undercity seems to have been built with plenty of room to grow. There are many vacant stalls scattered around where vendors could set up shop but as yet haven't.
May 10th 2007 5:17PM How the heck can somebody go from level 1 to level 70 in "a week or two?" It took me a year of casual play to get from 1 to 45, and even when I was really grinding like crazy around 38 and 39 to get my mount, it was still impossible for me to level in less than a day and a half of hard-core play.
Am I missing out on some big secret?
