Aug 7th 2007 9:55AM I'm sure character transfers could easily be free, and they probably should be, as long as a cooldown (3 months is good) period remains. People shouldn't be able to transfer around like bored vagrants (or gold and character leveling services) looking for a good time.
If one server is sucking for you, chances are it's the game, not the server. The one exception might be that you rolled originally on a server that became extremely Low pop, at which point it's pretty easy to figure out which ones are High pop after studying the serverlists for a week or two, or using various sites that log that for you, and then transfer to it
Aug 3rd 2007 3:35PM It's pretty safe to assume that Death Knight won't be the only class that has that bizarre "quest to unlock" mechanic. We can probably assume that there will be new mage/rogue/priest-style classes that work that way, eventually.
It's nice that players that already have a level 80 can bypass most of the old content they've been playing for over 2 years.
I do fear for the population of 1-60 zones and instances, if this new character class mechanic begins to embrace all class roles. I do wish they had instead done some interesting alternative level systems for 20-60 instead, or as an additional method.
I realize it's unrealistic to expect them to create enough new content for 20-60 gameplay in an expansion, but they could theoretically do stuff like dynamic/random dungeons, xp-from-pvp things, etc..

Jul 18th 2007 1:31AM I really don't think age is the problem.
WoW is an incredibly mainstream game. I think the broader appeal just means that we're wading in a shallower pool.
Back in the early 90s I used to play MUDs and it was full of HS/college age kids. They made up like 99% of the community. But games and especially MUDs were incredibly niche at the time, and the players were all quite cool, and you knew them all a lot more intimately than on your average WoW server.
Jun 15th 2007 9:48PM Sony should not have apologized. What did they do wrong? If I wanted to make a movie someday about a church exploding, do I have to apologize?
Or do I only have to apologize if I have a lot of money?
May 14th 2007 6:06PM If you feel that it takes too long to level 1-70, you're playing the wrong game. You need to play a different game. It's really as simple as that.
While I do understand and generally applaud the modern, typically PC gamer mindset that malleability of a game/game mechanic is almost as important as the game itself (modding, hacks, etc) when you enter an open, public arena you have to play by the rules, or the entire system is ruined. It's cool if you don't care about things being ruined, but it's also cool that you get your characters deleted and account banned.
