Aug 8th 2007 7:00PM The scorpid poison trick does not stack for multiple pets without using different ranks on each pet. Similar to not being able to stack multiple Curse of Weaknesses on a mob, etc.
The scorpid mechanic is working as intended in my opinion. They are a mediocre pet in most circumstances, which shine on a VERY specific type of fight against opponents which are specifically not immune to poison (and a heck of a lot of bosses are.) The spell is also a DoT, not an instant, which warlocks can attest DO gain higher spell damage bonus than isntants.
Aug 8th 2007 6:55PM I had a mage POM-Pyro combo me in midair over halaa, about 120 yards straight up (I was grabbing a soda at the time)and heard the sound effects of being nuked to death, and came back to my screen just in time to see him slowfall down to the ground below.
...I have never been more upset at a ganking in my life.
Aug 7th 2007 6:07PM I am about as interested in multiboxing as any other non-game-related filler posts. The breakfast topics often are this way, "Lets post 3 paragraphs and an open-ended question so people will post 600 comments and forget we didn't post any 'INSIDE' information!"
..I'd ratehr see poorly written and amateurish posts, than videos of some loser with no life, no friends, and way too many computers and too much time on his hands.. This coming from a professional computer tech with many, many machines.
How do you kill that, which HAS NO LIFE?
Aug 7th 2007 4:17PM I tamed and levelled up a spider from blade's edge specifically for pvp, because I thought it might disturb a few players to have a great big fugly spider chewing on their face.
Unfortunately, the spider was TINY at level 70, besides his skillset being craptastic. The screeching was pretty fun though, it drove my guildees NUTS during raids. ;)
Jul 20th 2007 1:23PM Once I duelled a pvp rogue, and stompe dhim with my hunter. He QQ'd and said I only won because of my pet, so I dismissed my pet and beat him again.
Then he said, "Well you won because of traps," so I duelled him again with no pet and no traps and won taking even last damage.
"You only win because you're all at range shooting me," he cried, so I went well, umm, ok. We duelled again..
I beat him and never got hit once.
Honor in duels? It's laughable. If I'm in a hard duel I'll use consumables, and dare you to call me a noob. I won didn't I? There's no honor in winning, but there's no respect in losing.
Jul 20th 2007 1:12PM For hunters in particular, mana oil is an excellent argument to dual-wield with the advent of the new +20 agi enchant next patch. Myself and a few hunters I know, have all started Need rolling on Stellaris (which we previously considered DE-fodder,) for the sizable crit and AP paired with a pair of mana oils..
1.25% crit, almost as much AP as a Sonic Spear with Savegery, and 28 mp/5.. Yummy!
Jul 19th 2007 3:52PM A few nights ago, I joined a BM group with my hunter. Befoer we'd even filled the group the Druid tank was asking me "Are you going to roll on the Hourglass?"
I said dude, don't count your chickens, it's bad luck and bad manners. And yes I am here for an equal chance at the drop.
...Druid nearly kicked me from the group when he heard I needed the hourglass too, btu we went anyway, cleared the instance, and then the group split apart and I got a whisper from one of the players in the group, who'd wrangled up another BM group immediately. I join, and everyone in the group si the same as previously, except that the druid had been exchanged for an epicced-out warrior.
Hourglass dropped, and I was the only one who needed it. The druid sure was mad when I PST'd the link to him though LOL!
Jul 18th 2007 4:28PM If you've not yet been griefed for hours by allies/horde while trying to do your daily quest, then you need to get out of Shattrath more often. PVP is alive and well, and the only time I don't kill someone is when I think it will get me killed, either immediately or in the near future. Almost everyone I know is the same.
Jul 13th 2007 7:04PM Number 1 rule of finding a good guild, don't obviously be dying to join one. Play a lot, be polite and know your class, have a sense of humour. After good runs whisper the people you liked and ask them if you can /friend them (if you don't ask, they won't rememebr you and might not like being bugged.) When you bump into someone questing, take a chance and ask if they want to group, you can meet some very good players that way.
After doing this process a while, making sure to run with those people again when possible. Eventually drop a hint or two that you wwant to know what their guild is about.
Rule 2: Be patient, you don't want to have a list of guilds you've left, that is a mile long.
Rule 3: Don't spam guildrecruitment channel, and try to not join guilds wihch do.
