Feb 9th 2009 11:36AM It's wrong for pallies to think that druids and priests get MOST/If not all of there mana return from spirit. In a raid inviroment (Me as a Holy Priest) do not get most of my mana back from spirit, It's nice to have on my gear, but I would rather have more intellect for replenishment I have no MP5, so my in combact mana return is about 296 full raid buffed. OOC its 1k, the problem with that is. besides some fights in naxx where i can AFK which are the only fights that I could consistantly use the 5SR. Almost all healers use int for there mana regen used with replenishment than any other stat.
So people need to get there facts straight. Fact: HOLY Pallies using DP every single time its up is pretty over power, and Blizzard knows that it is and trying to think of a way that it wont nerf the other trees for a paladin.
mana regen is getting nerfed, the only mana regen a pally has is from crits, mp5, intel, DP, glyphs maybe something I over looked. In that respect what if they nerfed pally crits? you would never hear the end of the crying (I would cry too) nerfing DP is nerfing the lesser of 2 evils in my opinion.
Jan 21st 2009 5:13PM I do a lot of arena.
What was happening is, the match making system was messed up. the team rating system seemed to work however, the match making system for the personal rating was broken.
on my 2s team I would not lose any PR, and my friend would not gain any PR. so after about 20 games my PR had gone up 200points, and his had gone down 200 points yet we did all the same games with each other. free acheivements, and or weapons.
Did games this afternoon with a different team and it was the same thing.
Jan 16th 2009 12:14PM As soon as they fix starfall stun... All the QQ about warriors having mace stun yet they give tons of random classes ranged mace stuns kkthxbye
Dec 29th 2008 3:54PM I really hope people don't read this and say "well wow insider did a story on disc priests and how good and viable they are" I think its really misleading. the reason people have the misconception about disc priests is, there role is "single target healer" they are best if not close to best in the game I would say. Holy raid healing is currently the best in the game, no one does raid healing better than a CoH priest. saying disc can raid heal is also misleading, its like saying a elemental shaman is a raid healer. Yes they can throw some heals here and there, but he is better suited as a different roll.
Please don't take this article and tell your raid leaders "im going to be raid healing as Disc today, I read on wow insider you can do it" if you are getting stuck on tank duty mention to them that having a disc priest in the raid to tank heal would be a better roll for them to fill.
By no means am I saying disc is worthless, or anything, I think its very good spec. I just think the article is a bit misleading.
Dec 8th 2008 12:56PM I play both WoW in what would be called a "Harcore raiding guild" and EVE, I am new to eve, I do enjoy it. The learning curve of EVE versus WOW is extremely different. I think the comparison between the 2 games is apples to oranges. You die a lot more in WOW than you do in EVE. Granted that for the most part I mine in 0.6 space (not cause its any better ore than 1.0-0.8) because 1.0-0.8 is sooooo boring. I could go mine in lower sec space but the ore isnt that much better. I can make roughly the same amount of money while im waiting for my skills to get up to a point where i can pilot a decent ship with the right fitting (roughly 50 days away from a drake with proper fittings like I said im new)
I think you should add another golden rule in there though #4 Do not pilot a ship that you do not have the skills to properly fly.
takes you 4 days to fly a BS, who cares... someone in a frig could kill you
Dec 8th 2008 12:17PM I don't get your post... did you just call a fellow harcore player, a "hardcore player"?
seriously though you can raid 6-7 times a night pretty easy if you had the schedule for it. 3hrs a night. (usually what people waste watching american idol and the like) 21hrs a week. most would call that a part time job... not a full time job. usually once you get to the point where there are no upgrades outside raids there isn't much else to do.
say you work a 6:30-3:30ish with raid 4-7 (usually the time you would go hang out with friends/they get off work) go get dinner with some friends 8-10 (or longer on friday saturday nights) go home and go to sleep even getting 7hrs of sleep.
Perfect world... but if you happen to find a guild that was raiding that perfectly into your schedule. It can be done, active social life, raiding a lot, sleep, and full time job.
Dec 8th 2008 11:24AM I love reading this. 46.4% of the people that read this website are 80... and almost every post at wowinsider complains about how they need more casuals stuff, and its all about the hardcore. newflash: all you "casuals" that are starting to raid Naxx 10/Running heroics/even 80... you are hardcore and are now offcially grouped with the "no lifers" "basement dwelling" "insert wow insult here"
The cool thing to do now is to say, "I'm not hardcore, I only play 5 times a week, with a 3 times a week casual raiding guild" It's time to admit that you are hardcore players.
Please in the future, you "casuals" stop bashing the players that are ahead of you in content with the "I have a life im a casual" statement cause this just proves it, you're a hardcore "no lifer".
Dec 8th 2008 10:55AM "But really, this is a shot of Eltanos and of Arathor preparing to face off against Malygos, with a little aid from Alexstrasza and the Red Dragonflight."
Yes thats Alextrasza, and yes she aids you in defeating malygos, but Alextrasza only apears after malygos is defeated. looks like a kill shot. you can't really stand around his body after you kill him.
Oct 21st 2008 1:12PM I have looked at the talents, I DO play DISC for PVP (if you will note in my comment that I said for raid healing) If you look at the talents and don't come to the conclusion that DISC is useless for raid healing and feel the need to waste gold to find out for yourself, then so be it. if you are doing it for some fun or don't want to bother speccing a "healing" spec to raid/pvp/daily/rep grind due to the gimped state of the game. which I'll do (not cause its a good healing spec, because I wouldn't run otherwise.
many of the people have done the theorycrafting for you, and posted on the internet on why its not viable. the same reason "smite" isn't viable DPS, even though there will be claims of topping damage meters, which im sure they have... its not that its a great spec its just they are more geared/better player than the dps around them. im sure you can get the job done as disc, but why would you want to gimp yourself? which is why I feel the article is missleading... you can do it... just not to your full potential.
Oct 21st 2008 11:57AM I don't really see how full disc is "invalueable"... Being a long term holy priest power word sheild is a mana inefficient spell. 1 CoH will do far more over all healing for your raid than absorbing 1k damage for 1 target... even for gimmick fights its useless. I feel this article is missleading people into thinking that DISC is an actual raid viable spec. you gimp your healing in every facet of the game. your flash heals don't do as much, your Gheals don't heal as much, the range of some spells, ect ect. you have no CoH. If you go as this spec to a 25 man... you are really 24.5 manning.
Again im saying for raiding potential. I don't care if you healed a ezmode heroic as disc you could do it as shadow and brag about the dps you were putting out and how viable your dps is while you still healed the group.
