A crafted BIS item removes that entire slot as an interesting drop choice, and it strongly forces players into specific professions. For example, if there is a crafted best in slot weapon, you can bet a vast majority of players will feel obligated to take up blacksmithing, as was the case in the Burning Crusade. The profession perks, which are reasonably balanced, already add an incentive to take professions."
So engineers and our goggles get screwed. Again. What was the point of creating the cogwheels and implementing them in game if they were only going to be used on 1 item for 1 teir?
Our belt tinker "perks" have a very high potential to kill you and/or wipe your group. The glove tinker "perks" are sub-par compared to other professions. Our goggles are distinctive and iconic of the profession and they become worthless after 1 teir. Flasks, pots, elixirs and gems dont become worthless after the first teir. Leatherworkers, Blacksmiths, and Tailors get new patterns each tear to craft new epic gear. So what do Engineers have again? Toys and gimmicky novelty items.

Jan 3rd 2011 8:56AM The best quest is the one where you go to the Account Management page and cancel your account because this expac sucks.
But, this will get voted down because personal opinions are considered bad by most of the sheeple.

As many of you are aware there was an issue which allowed players to reach unexpectedly high Match Making Values. While that issue has since been resolved, we're taking steps to control what occurred while it was active.
All existing items requiring 2200 rating will have their minimum level requirement temporarily increased to make those items unusable. This change is currently planned to be reverted on January 25.
Weapons which require a 2200 rating will be unavailable for purchase. This limitation is also planned for reversion on January 25.
All player and team ratings for arenas will be reduced to a maximum of 1500. (Player, team and matchmaking ratings below 1500 will not be affected)
Match Making Values for all players will be set to 1500.
In addition, the "best week rating" will be reduced to a maximum of 1500 to match the rating change, which will in turn be used to determine next week's max weekly Conquest Points. The maximum Conquest Points given for next week will be set to 1343 to match the number that would be obtainable with a rating of 1500."

Oct 18th 2010 1:17PM In the new "The Shattering" cata prelude novel, Garrosh is actually fleshed out and, while flawed, isnt all that bad of a guy to be honest. He's hot headed & brash, but he deeply and truly has his people in mind when he acts.
He also has the sends the single most bad ass missive to Magatha Grimtotem after he finds out the trechery she played upon him and cairne bloodhoof.

Aug 8th 2010 6:29PM Im gonna bet 90% of the people who voted me down aren't in the Beta like I am, and have not actually used the mechanic. Its very obvious that it was not well thought out and that its being shoe horned into the Prot and Holy specs. The stated goal of holy power was to add more variety, fun and take remove the boring rotations/fcfs of the class. Instead it creates an even more rigid rotation for Prot and makes it feel as if you are always fighting to keep up stacks of HP for an essential self-buff. For holy it forces you to use a near useless spell to keep up HP for a weak practically niche use and doesn't do any thing interesting. For Ret, its only slightly better, but again it feels more like a clunky ham fisted way to reign in Ret burst then to actually add anything fun and dynamic. The entire concept and its current application is horrible and makes the entire class more frustrating then i was previously and actually makes it less fun.
Aug 8th 2010 4:19PM Holy Power (or Zeal as its being called on the forums) is a god awful, clunky, stupid idea. Currently for protection you get stuck in an even more rigid rotation to generate the required Zeal in order to utilize your Holy Shield to its full extent. On top of that there is the issue of GCD gaps where you can literally do nothing because your abilities are on CD. I have the feeling that this whole "combo point-esque" system gets scrapped before Cata goes live.
