Mar 27th 2008 4:12PM Playing Horde on Bloodlust ftw.
P.S. fix the f**king BG lag blizzard I'm sick of it.
Mar 16th 2008 5:18PM It's a game. Too many things to count do not make sense visually or physically.
The important part of this is the game mechanics.
If blizzard intends traps to be a "trap", then it showing up in the combat log would be contradictory.
I don't know the exact percentage of people using addons, but they are VERY useful. I believe a large percentage of serious raiders and PVPers use addons. This is a PVP issue however because mobs can't think.
If an addon can do a raid warning sort of thing when a hunter lays a trap, you will look directly at the hunter as fast as you can, an avoid that spot.
Traps won't be stepped on by those with such an addon.
Mar 15th 2008 7:42PM It is called a trap.
The victim is not suppose to know the trap is there.
They need to rename a bunch of hunter abilities.
Like "Look at me I'm a snake box don't step on me"
Feb 8th 2008 7:59PM I raid with a hunter
5 mans are not 10 mans which are not 25 mans
they are all massively different, first in terms of CC usage, and second in terms of which dps pwns
5 mans are laughable for anyone who is doing 10 mans they dont even need to be talked about
for those still on 10 mans who havent moved into 25 mans, there is INDEED a huge difference once you get to 25s
personally, my hunters dps owns mages, im sure many mages would disagree
im not sure of the theoretical possibilities on best pure dps class
of course, the only time you need pure dps is when youve gotten every different buff you can
i see usage for 3 hunters max for buffs, then the rest of the hunters you take would have to be topping the meters to earn their spot, but 3 is probably the max youll ever have because you need(if you can) so many others types of buffs
1st hunter BM ferocious inspiration
2nd hunter MM trueshot aura
3rd hunter surv expose weakness
the first and second hutners will most likely be owning the dps
the third hunter is there solely for the expose weakness and prob the only reason he is surv is have expose weakness
however above and beyond all this, for certain boss fights... certain hunters will be left out, prob the BM hunter, if your pet isnt alive and meleeing the boss to get crits, you dont get Inspiration

Jun 22nd 2007 1:21PM World of Warcraft is Blizzard's game. They do not want people farming gold in game who are going to sell it for actual money outside the game. Unless they decide one day to reverse this position they will stop gold farmers.
I agree with them, I do not want people involving real world with the game. I like my game world being free of real world.
I also agree with commenter #1.
WoW already succeeded, now they are just milking it for all they can get. When the costs of maintaining WoW rise above their income, they'll stop.
I can't see how allowing gold farmers will make them more money. Blizzard is definitely not setting themselves up for failure by banning gold farmers.
Jun 15th 2007 3:30PM I think it comes down to how "together" your guild is.
If your guild is hardcore and hangs out all the time, then maybe you are friends. I would trust a friend to use the items he gets to help me. So if something dropped and either I could get it for 2% upgrade, or my friend could get it for 20% upgrade, it would go to the 20% person. This is a group mentality.
However, if you do not trust your guild, and you feel no attachment to it, or certain guild mates, then a self-centered point of view may be in order.
Another factor is the size of your guild. If your guild is only 25 strong, and you are doing Kara and further, it leads me to believe you have a good team going. This might mean the 20% would get it.
If your guild is 540 strong, and you have many different groups doing Kara sometimes, you might not have a strong team built. Your success may rely on some people coming to the raid being really good singularly, because some people coming will be horrid. If your guild is 540 strong, not all will be good players.
If you owe someone something, give it to them.
If you do not owe someone something, you can do what you want.
If your guild's rules are ridiculous, change it or leave.
Jun 3rd 2007 8:54PM There is an ethical debate in here.
These are some of my assumptions. (1 and 2 below)
1. Beauty is not universal. (it's in the eye of the beholder) This is true because people think one person is beautiful and then someone comes along and disagrees. (You could argue this, but it's pretty solid.)
2. Men and women who are married or bf/gf should think the other attractive. This is a personal opinion of mine. But it seems like a bad idea to me if you aren't attracted to them.
The question is, if you do not think your significant other is attractive in a physical way, should you lie to them and tell them you do?
"Make her feel pretty"
You could take that as
a. She is pretty, let her know.
b. She isn't pretty, lie to her.
I think lying is bad, so option b is out for me.
Maybe Natali understood the article as promoting option b.
I dunno how correct what I just wrote above was, I simply tried to tell the truth.
For me, I would only date, etc. a girl I thought was attractive in more than one way. It's not hard to find. So why would I date a girl that I only liked a few things about. I would search for the one that had all of what I liked. (which i happen to have found already)
Maybe this is way off topic. Or just odd. I'm hoping someone will post something interesting to read. I like ethical debates.
Jun 3rd 2007 4:58PM I asked my girlfriend to try WoW and she's reasonable so she did (It's reasonable because you can do the trial which uses nothing but some time). I'm a level 48 Tauren, which turned out wrong. If you're a guy and you want your girlfriend to play with you sometime. Don't be horde. Be alliance. They're prettier. Of course there are girls out there who don't care about their characters prettiness. (That's great, it's only an animation). Or if you want to go all out and buy her BC before she even tries, then she could be Blood Elf. I did not do that...
So anyways she had fun at first, and I danced my character for her, and she learned to dance. Then we started questing.
Try explaining to someone why you can see feathers on a creature, but yet when you kill it, you might not get one. It doesn't make RL sense. Also if you can see 100 feathers on it, and you only get 1. Some things are hard.
The hardest part was when we went (She chose a female tauren), to the ravine beside the tauren starting point. She didn't understand why a game would make you grind. So she quit. And I understand. The reason I grind is I want to get to 70. She doesn't want to get to 70, she wants to have fun now.
I can grind and talk on msn as i auto kill things alttabbing in and out. She can't because she hasn't the skill yet. Not a loss. I kinda found it tiring waiting beside her in game. I can just talk to her on msn when shes far. or call her. etc.
thats my story.
hope you enjoyed it.
im still just typing.
for no reason.
k ill stop.
May 31st 2007 1:21AM I agree with the shadow priest thing.
As stated, there are 3 roles, taking damage (tanking), giving damage (DPSing), and healing damage done (healing).
If you are proficient at any of those I'd be glad to have you in my raid group. If you're not proficient, get better at it or stick to PVP, where you can shine solo.
