Sep 1st 2008 3:30PM It's not just a direct result of player requests. I'm sure the fact that WoW's new competitor, Warhammer Online has a very extensive list ( http://www.thewarwiki.com/wiki/Category:Achievement_Titles )of titles was another motivating factor.
Aug 5th 2008 4:55PM "For every two levels the new player earns, the new player can grant one free level-up to a lower-level character played by the veteran player."
That's pretty nice :)
Jul 28th 2008 3:02PM Lum the Mad -- one of the very first MMOG blogs (back before we had a name for such things).
LumE the Mad -- a very interesting aticle, thank you very much! You might want to use some of your creativity to think of a more original name for your blog, though.
Jul 25th 2008 2:07PM I don't really care about gear anymore. As long as it's good enough to help me level, and looks nice, that's enough for me.
I have been doing a lot of BGs lately though -- I figure the honor and tokens I earn now should come in handy after the expansion (and presumably) level 80 honor gear comes out.
Jul 22nd 2008 1:40PM woohoo! I bet Breanni is doing cartwheels right now :)
Jul 14th 2008 1:38PM "they want players to theorycraft from gameplay, not from talent data"
yeah, right. They've been doing this long enough to know that these data were going to leak out and people would be theory crafting long before WotLK's release.
The real reason probably has to do with PR, and the fact it reduces their ability to offer the information as an exclusive to some gamer magazine or website.
Jul 9th 2008 3:38PM It came in a fairly small padded envelope.
Jul 9th 2008 3:08PM Mine arrived sometime last week (I was out of town). It was easy to associate it with my account, the number you have to type in is only 6 digits, and it seems to work great :)
On the back, it's branded as a "Digipass Go 6"
Jun 26th 2008 2:42PM Smart move by Blizzard. I'll be buying one :)
I wonder though if this doesn't undermine their assertion a little that items and characters in WoW have no monetary value. Seems like they must have some value, otherwise people wouldn't go to such lengths to steal them, and Blizzard wouldn't have to offer something like this to protect it's users.
Jun 4th 2008 1:32PM Just like WoW 2.0 came out about a month and a half (?) before TBC, it could be that WoW 3.0, or whatever the new version of the client is, is slated to come out sometime in the fall. This would fit with WotLK having a release sometime near Christmas.
