Jan 10th 2010 6:50PM My main toon has an homage name but its pretty obscure unless you've been playing RuneQuest for many years--"Nysalor" anyone? BTW, I got permission from the game designer to use the name so I am covered. :)
Feb 18th 2009 3:14PM My approach to asking zone-oriented questions is:
1. Ask in Guild first
2. Ask in the zone's General next
3. Only ask once each time.
Then it's time for Wowwiki or Wowhead.
If you need detailed class-oriented or skill-oriented help, I strongly recommend the following:
1. Go to General City chat
2. Make an open-ended request for help: "advice needed from raid-geared lock - please wsp"
3. Usually someone is nice enough to respond and you can ask your question with confidence.
Nov 10th 2008 1:23PM Judging from what I've read about DKs (beta forums and so on), the complexity of the class might make it harder to optimize DPS as quickly as GLs might hope.
I think even serious DKs will have to spend a lot of time honing their chops in 10-man Naxx and elsewhere before they can get their DPS up to snuff.
Oct 10th 2008 4:51PM Wonder what GC will say about Warlocks. I'm curious what their strategy was for the class in WotLK.
Sep 18th 2008 4:11PM I am also a Mac user and I plan to stick with Blizzard as long as they stick with my platform.
Sep 6th 2008 12:18AM I meant "even though locks are capable" in the above post.
Sep 6th 2008 12:09AM I agree that only Corruption and UA critting is a bit depressing but I'll take it. I can only QQ for so long, even locks are capable of legendary QQ (aka the Life Tap affair).
Aug 22nd 2008 11:01AM As for the Glyph of Felhunter, I don't think that Shadow Bite will have a spell power coefficient. I just think that the Glyph will boost the spell's damage by 20%.
Aug 14th 2008 11:27AM In other words, Blizz believes that Frozen Shadoweave set was overpowered. In WotLK, we locks probably won't get crafted epics that were as great as they were. The traditional response of Blizz is to make the profession underpowered in the next expansion, but we'll see what happens I suppose.
Aug 14th 2008 9:41AM By the by, in the last Blizz podcast the guy in charge of crafting specifically pointed to Frozen Shadoweave as a place where they "definitely overstepped the boundaries."
So don't expect anything as good as Frozen Shadoweave in WotLK.
