Feb 15th 2012 5:44AM I have a history of tanks, druid and paladin :( Both are pretty accurate - the druid could definitely lash out!
Feb 6th 2012 6:23AM Just putting in the two cents for my 10 man group. We three-healed it, our druid and resto shaman taking one side and me on my disc priest taking the other (fantastic fight for disc with DA and good mastery). I didn't soak anything except the normal Stomp, letting our rogue take double-Stomp and crystal (which he volunteered for and excelled at), allowing me to stand still turret-style and pump out more heals. Worked like a charm, and killed him for the first time without losing a player (despite my tank managing to pull a water elemental add ... the hell ...).
Feb 6th 2012 6:20AM Actually our raid had great luck with a rogue soaking crystal and double-stomp. He did a CD for Stomp and just took crystal like normal. The healer not moving went there was no issues keeping everyone alive, including the rogue taking the extra damage.
Jan 30th 2012 6:20PM Not particularly worse, but I've found tanks have a tendency to be GMs, so that's where the issues start. I've certainly learned my lesson - a nice steady RL relationship for two years now, and my guildies are mostly RL friends too.
I'm a girl, so they've been boys :P You've ducked, so I really feel obligated to throw something now ...
Jan 30th 2012 4:21PM .... guild killer here ...
First one fell apart due to GM's personal difficulties, many of which involved me ... /cough. Second one fell apart due to a schism in the members, of which I was in the splitting-away team. The one that formed from that ended up being a lame duck because I got a tad too personal with the GM, who turned out to be kind of nuts, and that blew up in my face.
The lesson I learned after all of this: stop dating tanks :( It was a bad time for me, and I did some stupid things. Unfortunately the people on the other end did stupid things too, so it ended baaaaaadly.
Jan 27th 2012 8:26PM Of course. A/A disc priests should studiously avoid all DPS spells to make sure those talent points are entirely wasted!
Jan 14th 2012 12:24AM I like to compete on AOE healing with our resident druid healer. It gives me a terrific feather-puff to out-heal him in disc without high haste.
Jan 14th 2012 12:22AM Has it occurred to you that there may be other reasons for doing normals? For example, a reason given in the article was a raider missing, or perhaps DPS are having difficulty with an aspect of the fight. A bored healer doesn't always just get to skip ahead.
Jan 5th 2012 9:07PM Whisp seems to serve the same function as WIM, which I'm rather attached to, having used it for over a year now. I think WIM is probably a little clunky UI-wise, but darnit I love it so.
Dec 22nd 2011 4:19PM Ehem. fkyeah Reddit. That is all.
