The crashed plane has snakes on it.......I thought it was funny.
Nov 16th 2006 2:02PM Dr00ds need to quit crying.
You'lln never be main tanks, main healers, or main DPS, so just shut up with all your complaining and go back to second fiddle.
No one cares if you can't use a potion in one of your stupid beast forms, no one cares that you never get to tank for a raid, no one cares that you can out DPS a rogue or outheal a priest, you are a jack of all trade class, master of none and the sooner you people realize this the sooner your pain and suffering will end.
Blizzard needs to quit buffing dr00ds and go back to making Warriors main tanks, Priests main healers and Paladins completely sucking.
KTHXBAI! Dr00d FORUM ----> That Way.
Sep 8th 2006 2:07PM In response to Trudie:
I never said don't roll a warrior, I don't care if you roll a warrior, but if you're going to take a MT position in a group be it Deadmines to anything, don't be stupid and not have your skills trained, and don't join a group that is looking for a tank when you don't even know the basic principles of tanking. You save a bunch of people headaches.
On my server, as Warrior Officer I do tank training constantly with warriors from 60 down to lowbies, just because a bad tank gives a guild a bad name. If you drop the ball and your group wipes too many times you get a bad name and the guild gets a bad name too for having terrible tanks. I've trained bunches of tanks, some of them are good and some of them just weren't suitable for tanking, so they went into PvP roles and dominate.
I love helping people out, I love training warriors to be tanks, but some people just aren't fit for tanking. Nothing against them, I think they're cool and I like em all, but I don't have time to waste on trying to train someone who will never understand tanking or the basic concept of it, when I could be training someone who one day may save my ass in a raid or completely save a raid period.
That's all, people can play what they want, but it all comes down to actually being useful at some point or just being a burden in groups.
Sep 8th 2006 1:50PM If you want an age specific server, just set up ID Check like porn sites do to confirm you are over a certain age.
That's all I'm going to say on this issue. I've met kids who are little brats and I've met adults (people over 18) who are little brats on WoW. Because there are 7 million people playing, you can't really clearly define who is going to be a brat and who is not going to be a brat by age. So it's better just to deal with it and complain for a bigger ignore list than an age specific server.
Sep 7th 2006 2:13PM Speaking of noobs, I also play my alts a lot, and I swear lowbie tanks on my server are terrible.
Doing a VC run with my 20 hunter, still a little bit of XP, but sitting on rested XP might as well burn some of it. This warrior who was "tanking" couldn't hold aggro to save anyone's life. I was out tanking him with my bear. So finally I get fed up with seeing the ressers and casters dying and I ask the warrior nicely:
"You ever hear of the tankers creedo? Taunt, sunder sunder sunder sunder sunder."
He proceeds to explain that he never bought Taunt at level 10 because he didn't see the purpose of it...I proceeded to leave the group and get on my 60 tank and run UBRS just to get that horrible sentence out of my head. One of the others in the group messaged me later and said that they all left a few minutes after I had left cause they wiped 2 more times.
Hilarious, people shouldn't roll warriors unless they know how to tank already. Leave the tanking to those who know how to do it, or latch onto to a 60 tank who is willing to teach you, but don't ever say you don't have taunt, that's just grounds for an buttkicking.
Sep 7th 2006 2:05PM On my server (Greymane, for those of you who care), I cannot stand lowbies or newbies. There have been plenty of times where I've gone out of my way to run a lowbie through a low level instance (for free and I give them all the loot except BoE blues which I ask for a roll on), and they still turn around and treat me like trash. They expect that since I'm an end game tank that I can save them from being killed when they aggro the entire courtyard of SFK or some other lowbie crap instance. I've been yelled at for not taunting enough, even though it has an 8 second cooldown, and all other kinds of crap. So, nowadays I tell lowbies to go f*** themselves and if they want help from me they better start dishing out some gold cause I don't put up with being treated like garbage when I'm providing a free service and getting nothing out of it.
The worst part is, I enjoy helping lowbies out, but most of them have their heads to far up their asses to realize I could be doing ZG or something else, rather than getting them levels.
Jul 31st 2006 5:47PM MMORPG = many men online role playing girls.
That's my motto, that's what I'm sticking with. Male until proven otherwise.
Apr 13th 2006 11:05AM To call some of the things mentioned in that article "cheating" is just ridiculous.
For the casual gamer then paying someone to level up your character is the only way they're ever going to get into the end game stuff without spending months at a time going in 10 level blocks or something.
Some people don't care for the level grinding, some people don't even care for the story, they just want PvP or the chance to go through the "talked about instances" and the quickest way for them to do it is to pay some "chinese farmer" to level up their character.
At least the kid in the beginning of the article didn't beat up children on the playground for money, but to call that cheating is just garbage.
