Aug 14th 2007 5:00PM Sorry, killing not filling.
Aug 14th 2007 4:56PM Want to see Gankage.... Go on the PTR pvp2 test relm. If you use a pre-made toon you start in ghoastlands out side zulamon. for the last 2 days, and im sure much longer, it has been a camping spot by the horde, filling every pre-made Alliance toon that spawns. People are selling ports to shatt for 100g and let me tell you with a bag full of epics it is a bargain. Check it out, its a blast to see how far you can get before getting doted up and back stabbed.
Jun 27th 2007 12:44PM Priest: "Who the hell is the main tank..... a little help here people!"
Jun 20th 2007 5:19PM FYI if any one doesnt know, the "?" icon will show what ever spell or item you have assigned to the macro by default. Very cool for sequences cause you can see what spell in the sequence you are on.
Jun 14th 2007 5:38PM k, let me preface this with, I am a casual player, I tend to run many toons. Enough so that I have trouble telling who is an alt and main. I started pre BC in november and just hit 62 with my hunter and am loving Outlands.
So why wont blizzard update 1-60 content?
The problem you run in to is percentages. What % of players are 60+. Those are the ones the patch is geared toward. Lets consider the fact that BC came out 5 mounts ago. Many are about done with the new content. Granted Nihilum was the first due to an obsessive need to be first, But it may only be a few months for the next Illidan death. Blizzard has there work cut out for them to deliver the next patch for these players and have the content last any time at all. An 8 month life-span on content that is meant to last 1+ years is a problem. This means more focus on end game content that will last longer and be harder to finnish.
So if their largest player base are 70 now, why would they work on new 20-70 content? It wont do them much good when those players are going to focus on 70-80.
And as for new content being a reason for some one to start over, you still are only going to get a few who are willing to start over and give up what they had created to go and see new lands to grind from 1-80 in.
Im all for the 300-400% XP boost, have a trinket that you can buy at 70 and mail to an alt that gives you an XP boost. If you are new suck it up and learn to pay :P but if you want to try a new class, make it easier.
Jun 6th 2007 3:52PM I have been playing with a boar, Owl, and Cat with my lv 61 BM hunter
My cat I have had since 25 (grey with white spots) and have loved, but come to find out that there is one in outlands with the same model :P. So now I am looking at alts before I get to far in to 60.
Had an Owl from Winter-spring and ditched it for the same reason I got it. Something you forgot to mention about birds is there effectiveness in PVP due to there "giant flapping wings of confusion" spell. He was a nice pet, but as soon as I went in to an in I couldn't see a dammed thing.
Now working on a Plague Boar, Love his aggro gain with charge. At lv 61 he can charge in and gore and instantly have 3k threat. This means I dont have to wait 20 to 30 seconds to start shooting. This = faster grinding.
Finally, I have the Rare Winter Saber from Winterspring, and am debating if I want to LV him up to replace my current kitty.
Ideally, I would like to have my boar, my cat, and a wolf for the buff. Figure that is a good combo of abilities.
Jun 5th 2007 6:36PM I believe he is referring to the wolf heads, which are not horde logos. Horde ride wolves and are linked to them a bit, but i dont see this as horde logos on the armor.
As for the article, What have you found in the way of hunter gear or cloth gear?
May 24th 2007 1:05PM I play a shadow priest at around lv 46 and my wife plays an enhancement shaman at the same lv. We started this combo because we liked the diversity of the classes and that we can each fall back and save the other if things start to go wrong. And we both still die a lot...
I have been concerned that we might be pushed in to healing roles in end game due to peoples set opinions about hybrids and priests. Im not so worried about the masses any more as much as Im worried about Blizzard pushing us in these positions.
With the recent tweaks we have been loosing our viability more and more. I fully understand the "Healers should not top DPS charts" however, if Shadow is to be viable, don't lower our healing ability (vampiric) in one patch and then lower our DPS in another. I cant heal like a Holy priest but I can help slow the damage people are taking as a whole so a holy can conserve mana to heal the tank and those who really need it.
It seems to me that Blizzard is the one that is pushing the stereo-type, and Im getting annoyed with it.
