Dec 26th 2009 11:44AM Lol, as a tank my runs pretty much go like this.
1) Buff my party.
3)@#%#$#@$ ??? (Chain pull)
4) Profit, aka dungeons done in 15-20 min.
Theres very little party chat if any, and I'm amazed that any of this is actually happening. First I have heard of drama in heroics, since the times mentioned in the post....when dps at 1100 was an actual problem.
Apr 22nd 2008 4:56PM I wish my raid leader shared your ideals..
Oct 30th 2007 7:22PM Lol, I remeber when you had to get a group of 10 people to do UBRS (It used to be 15). Also it was one thing to get the group together, another thing to down drak. I remeber spending 45 minutes organizing a group just to realize we had to find someone who could open the door. So in the end I definately think its easier to find PuG's for today's 70 instances (heroics are different) than back in the pre-bc days.
Oct 17th 2007 3:10PM lol, hopefully this doesnt result in druids having smaller shoulder pads :P
Oct 11th 2007 5:18PM I thought there were issues about it being an endangered species and how the majority of the WoW player-base live in Asia...
Oct 8th 2007 12:23AM lol concept art...
The only real way I see a game being able to 'defeat' WoW, is creating a very simmilar game so that players would be able to relate to WoW in terms of its simplicity but offers features that WoW does not. Think about it. Warhammer Online, lore simmilar (by no means the same, but for an average WoW player, lore isnt important), two sides fighting eachother (order vs. chaos, alliance vs. horde), Cartoon-like Graphics. Whats Warhammer boast about? More pvp, less grinding, one of the most 'boring' thing about mmo's. While im not saying the two games are identical, there are similarities a WoW player would be able to relate too. All it took to get me interested in Warhammer was their CGI trailer, now im hooked. Will it be succesful, yes. Will it attract more of a player base than WoW? Possibly, only time will tell.
As for the game in the actual article, there is a long way to go.
Aug 31st 2007 7:33PM wow this is suprising, just today myself (holy paladin) and my 2v2 arena partner (MS warrior) fought an enhancement shaman with this axe (his partner was also a MS warrior). I have to say a tauren with blood lust poped looks quite scary with this thing. We eventually won (shaman didnt heal...at all :S) but it was quite entertaining.
Jul 8th 2007 12:55PM Just adding in a 'fun fact'. Last night my guild travelled to 'the eye' (tempest keep) for the first time and we figured out the level 70 elite dragonhawks in there were tamable. So we decided that the hunter would freeze trap one of them and work on taming it while we took down the rest of the mobs. Before the next group he would get rid of it and tame another. Sort of an added Crowd Control method.
