Dec 23rd 2008 8:51PM For a slightly OT addition to your post, when they say "using the HD DVD player won't give you any upscaling advantages," they're right - BUT, you're less likely to wear out your Xbox's DVD drive if you use the HDDVD addon. The 360's disc drive can crap out if you use it too much.

The last few times I went to 3D movies, the "goggles" could pass as normal sun glasses.

And way to live in the 90s - I haven't seen 3D in years that still functions off the red and blue lenses. All of them are brownish black nowadays, with barely any way to distinguish between the two lenses - like I said, just like sunglasses.

Dec 16th 2008 5:49PM Also, the "cost" of these items can now be universal - 800 points is 800 points across the lands, the only thing that will vary is how much of your specific currency you have to pay to get the points.

Consumer report: Gears of War 2 Combustible Map Pack {Joystiq}

Dec 16th 2008 3:42AM I hear many people keep saying this, but I'm having a MUCH better time with matchmaking, it usually takes under a minute and is sometimes almost instant, whereas it used to stall and could take 5 minutes or more.

I'm sorry to hear that you and (apparently) many people have problems, but don't act harshly as I doubt your story - people and friends I've talked to have their issues fixed, and the only people I hear complain are ones on the internet - and we all know how reliable that is.

If it IS true and people are still having troubles, then its a shame; however, I actively play and all my matchmaking problems are fixed. I will say that the upcoming patch better fix all the crazy glitches though.
