Shaman awesomeness duplicated in other classes {WoW}
Nov 19th 2007 8:29PM One more thing that they left out is an item that mimics Lightning Shield:
Electromagnetic Gigaflux Reactivator
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=9492
It has a low droprate from Mekgineer Thermaplugg in Gnomeregan, and once you use the item (30 minute cooldown), you are surrounded by a Lightning Shield-like buff for ten minutes (unlimited charges I think). The animation looks remarkably similar :)
Ask WoW Insider: Should healing be competitive? {WoW}
Sep 7th 2007 5:53PM I agree with Tridus. Different healers have different strengths, which can shine in some encounters but be less evident in others.
Likewise with previous comments - Prayer of Mending gets credited to the player who is healed. However, most sane priests don't complain, because that player also receives the threat from that healing *grin* - making Prayer of Mending sensational for threat management.
I agree that any decent healer needs to learn about overhealing and appropriate downranking. However, the current meters are way too flawed to make analysis of healing stats constructive.
LOL gay! {WoW}
May 28th 2007 5:19PM Elizabeth, I can't agree with you more.
I've brought up this issue in dungeon groups whenever I've seen anyone use "gay/ghey/etc." as a derrogatory term.
I also agree with you, Pingmeister - that most don't use the term with any malice, however that doesn't mean that we can't be better than that.
I think that a lot of the problem lies with people like Shizlak, who so vehemently defend themselves from any sort of culpability/flaw to the point of them becoming laughable.
Shizlak, own up to behavior that should be corrected in society, rather than complain about us being bleeding-hearts, or whiners. It's your vein of logic that encourages people potentially to sit back while even greater travesties occur.
