Breakfast Topic: Blurring the boundaries between patches and expansions {WoW}

Aug 5th 2009 3:54PM And this was, from what I remember, a "big deal" back in the day - Sony was selling Everquest expansions that added similar amounts of playable content to what the big patches of yore added. The Ahn'Qiraj patch, especially, added essentially an entire new zone (since Sil. was pointless before), new quests, new quest hub, and 2 new raids, in addition to whatever else was added. Oh, and the world event to unlock the Gates.
