Win a thirty-day game card from WoW Insider

It's World of Warcraft's sixth birthday, and we've got a bunch of stuff to give away to celebrate! Here's the first contest of the day.

Comment on this post by 12 a.m. EST Wednesday, Nov. 24, for a chance to win a 30-day game card. We'll randomly pick two winners from the comments.

Some rules apply. You must be 18 years of age or older and a legal resident of the United States or Canada (excluding Quebec). You can only enter once. Make sure your email address is up to date, because that's how we'll get hold of you! Official rules here.

Caption This: Vote for winners! [Updated]

I hope everyone had a blast participating in this week's Caption This contest! However, as of Wednesday night at 11:59 PM EST the entry period officially closed, and I'd like to thank everyone who participated for making it a success! (And if you missed this week's contest, never fear, there will be another one starting on the Monday after next!) But now it's time to pick a winner -- the staff of WoW Insider has narrowed hundreds of entries down to ten finalists, and we want your opinion on which captions for the above screenshot are the best of the bunch. The winner will be walking away with a 60-day gamecard and second place will snag a More DoTs t-shirt from J!NX. So come on -- let us know which entry you liked best (polls will be open until 9am EST tomorrow), and on Monday we'll announce the winners!

Update
: The voting period is now closed -- we'll announce the winners soon!

Caption This! [Updated]

Did you catch our Onyxia caption contest the week before last? If you did, you're welcome to go check out the results -- or you could jump right in on this week's contest, which starts right now! And with a chance to win a 60-day gamecard or a More DoTs t-shirt from J!NX, you've got plenty of good reasons to enter.

To win, all you have to do is come up with a hilarious caption for the screenshot above (click it for a larger version!). Submit your caption in our comments any time between now and Wednesday, June 27th at 11:59 PM EST. After that, the WoW Insider staff will narrow the entries down to ten finalists -- and you get to vote on who wins.

However, there are some restrictions to this contest. The legal team says we're only allowed to open the contest to residents of the United States of age 18 and up. And as much as I hate to cut anyone out on this, legal has the final say on these matters. A complete copy of the contest's rules may be found here. But enough talk! Get to writing those captions!

Update: Sorry, folks -- the entry period is over. Check back on Friday to vote for a winner!

Want to win a 60-day gamecard? Caption this!

WoW Insider is offering you a chance to win a 60-day gamecard or a Burning Crusade t-shirt from J!NX. All you have to do is submit a caption for the above picture in the comments on our contest announcement post -- later this week our readers will vote and pick the winners. Why am I telling you this? Because today is the last day to enter! Hop on over to the contest announcement and leave your cleverest caption idea in the comments before 11:59 PM EST tonight. And if you miss the deadline, that's okay -- because the Monday after next (that's June 11th) we'll be giving away another gamecard.

Good luck!

Win a Free Year of Warcraft

MMO Portal is having a drawing to give away a free year's subscription to World of Warcraft (i.e. 12 months' worth of game cards). What do you need to do to qualify? Well, you need to be a member of MMO Portal, be at least 13 years old, have a physical mailing address for them to send the game cards to, and "do not live in a state or country in which contests of this nature are prohibited by law." (You're on your own on that last one.) If you can handle that, all you need to do is submit this form every day until August 30th for another chance to win.

WoW Pre-Paid Game Cards on Sale

For all of you who, like me, choose to subscribe to WoW via pre-paid time cards, Amazon.com currently has the best price on them that I've yet to come across. The cards are now on sale for $24.99 (several dollars less than my local retail outlet), and if you purchase anything else to push your total over the $25.00 mark, then shipping is free. Heck, just do what I did...buy 2 cards!

No idea how long this price will last, so get 'em while they're hot...
