Another Tuesday, another day where I can't play before 2 PM EST. Whatever happened to that live maintenance, anyway? I realize they couldn't do that today because of the patch, but there haven't been any downtime-free Tuesdays for a while now (in fact, I think they only did it live twice or so). So what are you all doing with your extra time, those of you who might normally be playing at the moment? As for myself, aside from writing this post, I'm watching last night's Black Donellys and chuckling over how Blizz decided the way to make Circle of Healing worthwhile was to bump down its outrageous mana cost by 25%. (Hint: we're more upset with the amount it heals for, its position in the talent tree, and the limitations on who it heals than we are with the mana cost.)

Anyhow, I figured I'd make this post as a place we could hang out and chat to kill time while the servers slowly trudge back to consciousness. If it works well, I'll do it again next maintenance. What do you guys think of the changes? (No trolling, please.) Is your class changed enough that you think you need to respec, and if so, what spec are you going for? How's Karazhan going for your guild?

I know what you're thinking -- two Around Azeroths in one day? But when I saw this land in my mailbox this morning, I couldn't resist posting it as a current events shot. Does that look like Alterac Valley to you? Me neither... but apparently this is exactly what some players -- including reader Chris -- were seeing in the Battlegrounds last night. Right before they fell to their deaths, I would guess.

To the surprise of absolutely no one, the patch applied earlier today has caused massive problems on many servers throughout WoW. Blizzard is aware of the issues, and is working to fix them. The problems are so widespread that Tseric mentioned in his statement that it would be pointless to list the affected realms. Ouch.

This is pretty typical on patch day, and I can only imagine the cross-realm battlegrounds make things all the more complex. My guild canceled raids for this evening, as is our custom on patch days, and I would think other guilds did as well. While I am sure Blizzard will get this figured out as quickly as they can, I am not holding my breath that all will be stable anytime soon. Sounds like a Blockbuster night at the Nelson palace. Any suggestions?
