GameStop offering Black Friday deal on WoW Battle Chest and expansions

Retail gaming store GameStop is offering a huge deal on Black Friday for those who want to pick up World of Warcraft. The WoW Battle Chest, which includes both WoW and The Burning Crusade expansion, can be snapped up for $9.99, and both Wrath of the Lich King and Cataclysm will be available for $19.99 each. This means that players looking to get started with WoW can pick up the whole collection for $50 total, which is a great deal no matter how you look at it.

Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving and falls on Friday, Nov. 25 this year. So if you're looking to pick up the game for a friend (can we say Recruit-A-Friend, anyone?) or to open a second account for yourself, this would be an ideal time to do it for an ideal price.

Pre-Black Friday: Amazon offers The Burning Crusade free with WoW purchase

As part of its Prelude to Black Friday Deals Week, Amazon.com is offering The Burning Crusade for free to people who purchase World of Warcraft through the website. Right now, The Burning Crusade is retailing for $29.82 at Amazon, so if you're looking to get that for free, pick up a $19.75 copy of WoW. That's a pretty damn good deal, especially for people getting into the new Cataclysm leveling experience that will be free for all vanilla WoW players.

Check out Amazon's Prelude to Black Friday deal here.

World of Warcraft and Battle Chest on sale for Black Friday

Yes indeed, this Friday is none other than Black Friday, which means the deals will be aplenty, the crowds will be horrendous, and the holiday money drain will begin (of course, you could go with Buy Nothing Day, but that seems a little too grinchy to me -- why not go ahead and buy while the buying's good?). Fortunately, there are a few WoW deals floating around out there, in case you need to pick up a copy of the game for a loved one (or that Recruit-a-friend account you've been planning to make).

The regular WoW vanilla game (useful for leveling to 60, but if you want to go past that, you'll have to buy the expansions) is on sale in a few places for super cheap -- the Ladies of Leet saw it at Best Buy for just five bucks, and Gamestop's matching that price. Gamestop also will have the Battle Chest (with WoW and BC and a few other goodies) for $19.99, and Newegg has the same price if you don't want to fight the crowds. Unfortunately, there's no sign of Wrath on sale -- you'll still have to pony up the $40 if that's the one you want. But stay tuned in the comments -- if readers can find better prices on this stuff, we're sure you'll see them below. Good luck out there, happy deal finding.

Mana Princess shows off a Gift Pack for Black Friday

Our favorite WoW crafter, Mana Princess, sends word that she's updated her store for the holidays-- not only has she added some Alliance and Horde ornaments (just in time for tree setup), but she also told us about her Black Friday sale, in which she's selling a gift pack of everything you see above for just $35. It's the perfect gift for the WoW player in your life (even if that's you). And because it's in honor of Black Friday (and also her birthday), when those items are gone at that price, she says they're gone.

Now, lest you think we're guilty of favoritism here, while we do like MP a lot, we do realize she's not the only WoW crafter on the block. If you've got some crafts you want to show off (whether you're selling them or not, feel free to drop us a line over on our comment form, and give us a heads up on what you're up to. We love everything WoW, and while Mana Princess makes some great stuff, we're sure she's not the only game in town.
