It can be tough to get caught up on WoW lore. We're talking about a game and story that spans a decade. Between the books, the comics, and many iterations of games, figuring out who's who and what's going on can be a little difficult.

Doronsmovies is trying to help tackle that issue with a series of videos called Warcraft lore academy. The series of videos talks about key characters in the stories, presenting these snippets of lore as a kind of machinima classroom.

The videos are a great idea, even if they boil down to a character standing in a room with an accompanying voiceover. If you're trying to get started with the game's story, you could have a much worse way to start.

1337 Sauce is a parody commercial created by Dorons Movies. While cruising the battlegrounds, an orc is robbed of his achievement due to his unwillingness to fight AFK players. In desperation, he turns to the makers of 1337 Sauce to help him do away with his pesky notions of honor.

I think Doron's skills are definitely getting stronger, although I'll admit I'm not a huge fan of the parody commercial format. That's not Dorons's fault, of course -- it's just that commercials are a really rough format in which to try and get a joke across. As soon as you're obviously in "parody" territory, you need to reference something specific to get a chuckle. Commercials are just a little too generic for that to work.

All that being said, here's hoping Dorons continues to create machinima and grow his skills. It's good stuff, and I'd like to see more.

Classic nostalgia is a quick romp through the rampant habit of wearing rose-colored glasses when looking back at vanilla World of Warcraft. A wizard named Nostalgia shows up to take two players through a quick whirl through old-world raiding.

It's easy to look back on older content with warm thoughts and somewhat biased opinions. After all, we loved the game we were playing, and since we get so invested in the game, it can be shocking to see it change.

Dorons Movies had a pretty good idea with this video. The sound quality was a little off; some tracks were very loud, while others were too quiet. Still, it was a solid effort, and I look forward to seeing more.
